Document links are the main working URLs for prototypes, freehands, specs, and boards.

To get a document link:

  1. Open a board and, at the top right, select Share.
  2. Select Members & Guests.
  3. To the right of Copy link, select Settings.
  4. On the Manage sharing settings page, select an option for Who can open this document? and What can they do?
  5. Select Save.
  6. Back in the share dialog, select Copy Link. You can now share that document link as needed.

Public share links make it easy to share your boards with a broader audience that's not part of your team. If you are on an Enterprise plan, you can also password protect public links.

Note: Only users with edit permissions in a prototype can create public share links for that board.

To create a public share link:

  1. Open the board and, at the top right, select Share.
  2. In the share dialog, select Public, and then select Get Public Link.
Note: If there is an existing public link for the document, you won't see the Get Public Link screen.
  3. Select Update public link settings, make any changes to your settings, and then select Done.
  4. Back in the share dialog, copy the public link URL (). You can now share that public link with anyone you choose.
