Version 2.10.7

Bug fixes

With version 2.10.7 we've addressed the following issues and improvements:

  • Issues that caused the app crashing.
  • An issue viewing the version number when the font size was set to Larger Text.
  • Improvements in the background and text color when using Dark mode.
  • Improvements in the animations during the sign in process.

Version 2.10.6

Open-source attributions

We've added a list to the open-source dependencies we use. We sincerely thank the open-source community for their contributions.

Comment bug fixes

We fixed three bugs in our commenting experience:

  • An issue that caused the comment indicators to appear misplaced on the screens when viewing the prototypes on the app;
  • An issue with some notifications appearing as unread after being marked as read;
  • A cosmetic fix to the comment icon in the navigation bar.

Ghostbusters!

We've also addressed an issue where the app sometimes displayed phantom or duplicate collaborators.

Version 2.10.5

Crash repair

There should be far fewer problems with the app crashing, as this build corrected numerous bugs that had caused the increased trouble.

Version 2.10.3

Released on July 24th, 2020, version 2.10.3 of the InVision app for iOS includes the following fixes and improvements:

  • Sending feedback: If you send feedback via our iOS app, the ticket will now include your InVision email, as intended, so Support can investigate the issue and reply.
  • Adding images in Freehand: You should now be able to add an image (via the Image menu) directly after creating a freehand without the app crashing.
  • Accessibility improvements:
    • Reduce Transparency setting: If you have the Reduce Transparency setting turned on in your iOS accessibility settings, that should no longer cause a crash after mirroring a Studio prototype to the InVision iOS app.
    • VoiceOver setting: If you have the VoiceOver setting turned on in your iOS accessibility settings, you can now safely use Comment mode when viewing a prototype. Previously, this had been causing the app to crash.
    • Color contrast issues: You may have noticed a number of improvements to color contrasts within the app.
  • Signing in while in landscape mode: Because the InVision iOS app requires you to use portrait mode when signing in on an iPad, now if you're on landscape mode when you try to sign in, you'll see a message with instructions for an easy fix.
  • High resolution images on boards: If you add a high resolution image to an InVision board while working in the InVision iOS app on an iPad Pro (12.9-inch), it will no longer get scaled down.
  • We were framed! Now when you mirror an iPhone X prototype to the InVision iOS app, the designs won't be displayed inside a frame. Previously a bug had caused the designs to appear with a frame, which had severely undermined the value of mirroring the prototype in the first place.

Version 2.10.2

  • Landscape mode for iPad: After signing in to the InVision app on your iPad, you can view prototypes set to landscape orientation as expected.
NotTo access the sign-in screen, you will need to hold your iPad in portrait mode. Once you're signed in, you can use landscape mode as needed.

Version 2.10.1

  • New minimum OS requirement: You will need iOS 11+ to download the InVision iOS app version 2.10.1 and future builds. If you're using iOS 9 or iOS 10, you can continue using the app; however, you will only be able to download the latest build that supported your OS version.
  • Switching environments: If you're one of the rare people who belongs to a team on InVision V6 and a team on InVision V7, you should now be able to switch environments as expected.
  • Signing out: You can now sign out without running into the error that previously caused the app to crash.
  • Avatar highlight: Now when you touch your avatar in the navigation bar, you'll see the pink highlight centered correctly on the avatar.

Version 2.9.1

  • Zendesk SDK: If you need to report a bug from within the iOS app, you may notice the brief process is smoother now that we've implemented enhancements to our Zendesk SDK (software development kit) integration.

Version 2.9.0

  • Authentication issues: Now you can sign in to the InVision iOS app as expected. Previously, some users were encountering buggy behavior related to authentication.

Version 2.8.8

  • Timed redirects: Now prototype hotspots with timed redirects will perform as expected in the iOS app.
  • Landscape trouble: If your prototype is set to landscape view, it should now display properly in the iOS app.

Version 2.8.7

  • iOS 13 support: The iOS app now supports the latest iOS release—iOS 13. Version 2.8.7 of the InVision iOS app includes numerous fixes to bugs that were causing crashes after users upgraded to iOS 13.

  • Thumbnail issue: Your prototypes and freehand thumbnails should now display as expected.
