To confirm your version, check the upper right corner of your dashboard. On V6? Check out this article instead.

With InVision V7, you don't need an Internet connection to present or review a fully functioning prototype. You can export your offline prototype as a single HTML file, which functions like a public link when opened in your browser.

TipOnce you're able to reconnect to the internet, click View online to open the latest version of the prototype on the web.

For smaller file sizes, you can also export as a ZIP file.

Export an offline prototype

To export an offline prototype:

  1. Sign in to your InVision V7 account and open the prototype.

  2. At the top right of the page, select ••• More.

  3. Select Export prototype > Export as offline prototype.

  4. Choose your desired settings for the prototype. You can turn off hotspot hinting and keyboard navigation, and hide InVision controls.

  5. Select Download.

A new window opens and the file downloads to your computer.

Export screens as a ZIP file

For smaller export sizes, export your screen images in a ZIP file.

  1. Sign in to your InVision V7 account and open the prototype.

  2. At the top right of the page, select ••• More.

Export specific offline screens

To export specific screens to use offline:

  1. Sign in to your InVision V7 account and open a prototype.

  2. Hover over a screen you want to export and check the circle in the top-left corner. Repeat this for each screen you want to export.

  3. At the bottom right of the page, click Export > Export as offline prototype.

A new window opens and the file downloads to your computer.

Known limitations

  • A small percentage of large exports can fail—for example, a prototype with 600 4K screens that totals several hundred MBs may fail.

  • Windows users need to unzip the downloaded file to properly view the offline prototype.
