Article summary

This article provides answers for InVision V7. If you're on V6 of InVision, use these instructions instead. Not sure which version you're using? Find out now.

Streamline your workflow with InVision and Trello. With this integration, teams will be able to see the most recent work on all their linked freehands and prototypes without having to manually update their Trello boards.

Turn on the InVision power-up in Trello

If this is your first time using the InVision power-up in Trello, you may have to turn it on. Refer to Trello's instructions about turning on power-ups and search for InVision.

Attach a freehand or prototype to a card

Attach links to your freehands and prototypes to your Trello cards.

  1. In InVision, copy the share link for the freehand or prototype.
  2. In Trello, select the card you want to attach the freehand or prototype to.
  3. Under the Power-Ups heading, click InVision.
Note: InVision currently does not support prototype link recognition when pasting a public link into the Description or Comments field.
  4. In the Attach a link, paste the share link you copied earlier.

When your team makes changes to the freehand or prototype in InVision V7, the public link you added to Trello will automatically update with the latest changes, as will the preview image under InVision (it is always the first screen in the prototype). The cover image and image under the attachment, however, will not automatically update.

TipYou can also incorporate Trello in Freehand to run more inclusive and collaborative planning sessions and manage projects across your organization. To learn more, read Plan projects in Freehand with the Trello add-on.
