Looking for user feedback on your iOS prototypes? The user test mode for the InVision iOS app has you covered. While working in user test mode, you and your testing group can view and navigate your prototype more like you’ll use the fully functioning app—without swiping and hotspot hinting distracting from the real-world experience. In other words, you can conduct more effective user testing with prototypes synced to InVision from Sketch.
Entering User Test Mode
To begin a user test in the InVision iOS app:
- Open the prototype you want to test.
- In the upper-right corner, touch the ••• (more) menu icon.
- At the bottom of the screen, touch Refresh prototype (just to ensure you’re testing the latest changes).
- Again at the bottom of the screen, touch Begin user test.
- View and navigate the prototype as wanted.
Navigating the InVision iOS App While in User Test Mode
To restart a test while in user test mode:
- Anywhere on the screen, long press until the Prototype Options menu opens.
- At the bottom of the menu, touch Start over.
- View and navigate the prototype as wanted.
To exit a user test:
- Anywhere on the screen, long press until the Prototype Options menu opens.
- At the bottom of the menu, touch End user test.
Note: You will be returned to the All Screens view for the prototype.
