Add a color swatch

To add a color swatch to Freehand:

  1. Open your freehand.
  2. On the bottom toolbar, click the More tools menu icon (•••) and select Color swatches. The Color swatches panel will open.
  3. Type a HEX code in the HEX field or use the color picker to select a color.
  4. Click Add swatch.

Edit a color swatch

You can change the color value of a color swatch, edit the name, and select different shape styles.

To edit the color value of a color swatch:

  1. Select the color swatch you want to edit to open the contextual menu.
  2. In the contextual menu, select Hex Color ().
  3. Type a new HEX code in the HEX field or use the color picker to select a new color.
  4. Click Confirm.

To edit the name of a color swatch:

  1. Select the color swatch you want to edit.
  2. Click the name of the color swatch and type the new name. This change will be saved automatically.

To edit the shape style of a color swatch:

  1. Select the color swatch you want to edit to open the contextual menu.
  2. Select Style.
  3. Select one of these options:
    • Card
    • Drop

In the contextual menu that opens when selecting a color swatch, you also have the option to lock the color swatch () and use the More menu (•••) to copy, delete, duplicate, and create a link to the color swatch.
