Sketch keeps closing unexpectedly after craft updated automatically to the latest version

My Sketch version is 70.0 and as soon as craft got updated automatically to 1.0.115, Sketch keeps closing unexpectedly when I'm trying to attach or unattached a symbol! It's driving me crazy. I tried everything to fix the issue but no chance! I have a lot of projects that will be due in a short time.... Somebody help me please

Thanks for getting in touch via our Community!

You mentioned that you're running Sketch 70. As a first thing to rule out, could you please try upgrading to the latest version of Sketch if you're able to, and confirm whether the issue persists afterwards? Currently, Craft is only supported for the two most recent releases of Sketch, and the version you're running is quite a few updates behind and no longer supported. 

Using Craft with an older, unsupported version of Sketch increases the likelihood of issues and conflicts. 

Hopefully updating Sketch will resolve the issue.

I have this same issue. I'm on an older version of Sketch and I cannot upgrade. When making symbol edits I have to disable the Craft plugin, then re-enable it once I want to put in hotspots for InVision which is a little tedious when trying to be fast and productive.

Thanks for getting back to me. Upgrading to the latest version of Sketch requires me to pay for it again and I am not able to do that at this moment. Is there any other ways to solve this issue without having extra payment? It seems like I'm not the only one having this issue...

Thanks for following up on this! 

Unfortunately, since Craft is only supported for the two most recent releases of Sketch, the possibility of issues such as these increases when using older, unsupported versions of Sketch. 

I certainly understand that the cost of updating Sketch can be prohibitive. If you could provide some further details about the issues you're encountering, I'll be happy to pass these along to our Support team for further review. 

To get a better idea of these issues, could you please provide the following: 

  • Screenshots or a screen recording showing this issue occurring, especially of any error messages you might see
  • The versions of Sketch, Craft, and macOS you're running (if you've not already mentioned it)
