Text color change after click

Hi all,

is there a way to configure a text box to change text color after clicking on it?

Let me explain. What I want to do, is make kind of a 3x3 spreadsheet of text boxes (so 9 text boxes in the end), with the light grey text "Choose" in each of them. After clicking on any of them, I want the chosen "Chose" text box (boxes) to change the color to blue, kind of confirming which options the user chose. The user should be able to click (or, to chose), multiple options (text boxes) in any order. If the user makes a mistake, I would like the option to click on the wrongly chosen text box again (in any order), to "un-chose" that option, and the un-chosen text to turn back to the original light grey.

Of course, all of that shoul be happening on only one screen / artboard.

Is that possible?

Thank you in advance!

Nejc

Hi Nejc,

In regards to creating a color changing button, you should definitely be able to achieve that behavior with Studio. In order to achieve this behavior, you'll need to have separate screens with all the same layers — one version that has the button grey, and the other screen with the button blue. Once you have both screens, you can create interactions that takes you from one version to the other.

However, if you're wanting to achieve this within the same artboard, at this time, there's no way to create an interaction in Studio that opens an artboard as an overlay. However, having that ability would be a great addition to Studio. We've received similar feedback from other users and have made sure to let our Product team know about this — they are currently tracking it as a potential feature.I'll be sure to pass along your interest as well so that our team knows the demand for this feature.

Cheers,

Camille
