No search and drag-and-drop features of the new DSM plugin

Hi all,

I just updated the DSM and I found the new DSM plugin doesn't display all the components/icons/styles as the legacy one. Also, the search function is gone. So there is no way for us to search for a component and then drag it to the artboard in Sketch like we used to. Do you have any idea of how to do that with the new DSM plugin?

Thanks!

Hi Xiaoyu,

Thanks for getting in touch via our Community! I'll be happy to help.

New DSM functions differently from the Legacy DSM plugin, and makes use of Sketch shared libraries rather than keeping the components within the plugin itself.

Once you have uploaded your Sketch file to your DSM library, it can then be added as a shared library in Sketch. Then, you'll be able to add any of these components from the library.

You can find more information and instructions on this process here: What Are DSM Managed Libraries?

I hope this information is helpful, but please get back in touch if you have any further questions.

Best,
Raynor
