How can I remove the 'private space' label?

Hello, I'm trying to add some projects into a space, but it's not working for all my projects. The ones that aren't allowing me to add them are the ones with a 'private space' label. I don't know how they got labelled that way. I created all these projects from scratch and don't remember choosing this label. I suspect if I change the label, I'll be able to add them to the space. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks! :)

Same issue here. I would like to add some of my prototypes to a new project space, but they are labeled "private space" and I can't seem to remove or reassign the tag.

Without a solution, I'll be forced to re-import and recreate the entire prototype.

To help us dig into this issue further, I'd like to gather some more information to pass on to our Support team. 

  • Could you please send through some screenshots or a screen recording showing the issue occurring, especially of the "Private Space" message you described?
  • If you try accessing InVision via a private/incognito window, does the issue persist? 
  • Could you please confirm your browser and OS details by going to, clicking the “Copy” button, and pasting the link it gives you into your reply?

Hi Raynor, thanks for your reply. Screenshots attached here of the issue. It shows me looking for a project to add to a space and not being able to because of the 'private space' label. Also, the issue does persist if I use a private/incognito window. My browser and OS details: Thanks!

Thanks so much for getting back to me with these details and screenshots; these were a great help! 

Based on your screenshots, what a appears to be happening here is that the Brachiosaurus prototype has already been added to a Space that you have not yet joined/been invited to. This is why you're seeing the "Private Space" message, and why you're unable to search the prototype when adding existing prototypes. 

Currently, it's only possible to add a prototype to one Space; it cannot be added to multiple Spaces. I recommend reaching out to your colleagues to sort out which Space this prototype has been added to. 

With that in mind, I'll go ahead and open a ticket on your behalf to add your vote to our open feature request for the ability to add a prototype to multiple Spaces. Please keep an eye out for an email indicating that we’ve formally tracked your feedback.
