Inspect mode not working for texts!

When I try to inspect a text field in any screen of the project, the screen goes blank. It just happens with 2 projects, all the other ones are working fine.

Sorry to hear you're running into this trouble when viewing text boxes in Inspect!

We'd like to gather some additional details to assist in troubleshooting this further. Would it be possible to provide the following?

  • What is the name of the affected file/artboard?
  • What version of Sketch or Photoshop are you using?
  • What version of the Craft plugin are you using? On macOS, you can find this by clicking the Craft icon in the macOS menubar and hovering over the Sync + Prototype option.
  • Could you provide a screencast showing how the screen goes blank when you select a text layer?

Hello Camille,

Here are my answers:

  • What is the name of the affected file/artboard? I have different files in one of the not working Invisions, "Creators Demo" and the other one has multiple files in it, all with this structure 'crcreators-campaigns'.
  • What version of Sketch or Photoshop are you using? Sketch Version 70.2
  • What version of the Craft plugin are you using? On macOS, you can find this by clicking the Craft icon in the macOS menubar and hovering over the Sync + Prototype option. Version 1.0.103
  • Could you provide a screencast showing how the screen goes blank when you select a text layer? I created a sample screen due to client confidentiality for you to see the problem.

Hi there!

I have encountered the same issue with my project. I'm currently using Sketch Version 70.3 (109109) & Craft 2.3.172. I would really appreciate your help in solving this! Thank you.

Dariz, this might work for you as a short term work around.

 

you're running into a known bug that our Engineering team are currently investigating. In some Sketch files, text layers can cause Inspect to go blank when selected. A workaround we've found is to briefly update the text color of the affected text to and then back to the original color, after doing this you should re-sync the file. I understand it's not an ideal workaround especially if there are lots of text content in your file.

Has a solution, or at least a work-around for this issue been determined? I'm having the same issue and it's impacting designer and developer productivity.

How can i resolve the blank screen issue?

As i select particular text in inspect mode the screen goes blank.

I'm having the same issue in multiple screens in a project I'm working on.

The sketch version I'm using is: Version 76.1 (130273)
Craft Manager version: 1.0.21
