Approve prototypes with no edit

Hi, how do I enable a customer to approve a page without giving them privileges to edit?

Thanks

Hi Pauly,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out here in Community! I'm having a little trouble understanding exactly the behavior you're looking for here.

Can you please shed some more light on how you would prefer this to function, and what you mean by "approving" a page/prototype? Also, if you could please provide any screencasts or screenshots showing the process you're currently using, this will help us better understand what you're looking for.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Shaina

Hi, I, as a collaborator, can change state of prototype screens from Needs Review to Approved etc. Indicating sign-off. To enable the customer to "sign off" (change screen state to Approved) they also have to be a collaborator. My question was, how do I enable sign off *without* enabling edit of screens - a feature permission of collaborator.

I don't know how more simply to put this question!

Thanks

Thanks so much for writing back in with that clarification, Pauly! That explanation definitely helps determine what you're looking for.

While this is not currently possible, we are currently tracking a feature request to allow non-collaborators to edit the screen status as well as via a share link. This way, they can get an idea of whether a screen is still a work in-progress, or completed/approved. Does this sound like what you're looking for? If so, please let me know and I'm happy to open a ticket on your behalf to track your interest for this potential feature.

Hope this helps!

Hey Pauly,

Not sure if this would suit your needs, but when you send a public share link to, these users have the ability to view, interact (click through), and leave comments on prototypes. You could inform your client to place a comment or note to determine the sign off status. If you want to be notified they can can mention your name or use the @project tag.

Happy Prototyping!

Emily
