Blank Studio File

I have a .studio file I've been working on for some time that consists of about 30 artboards and a shared library of components. The file will open though all I'm getting is a blank page - nothing is rendered. I can see all the layers and components but I'm unable to see anything on the artboard - kind of a big deal to lose 40+ hours of work. I'm able to work with other files - some sharing the same library - fine. Need some help with this.

 

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Hi Todd,

Yikes! So sorry to hear that your Studio file is not opening properly after so much work. To get to the bottom of what might be causing this, can you please provide the following information?:

  1. A screenshot of your "About this Mac" overview.
  2. The version of Studio that you're running.
  3. When did you notice this issue starting to occur?
  4. Can you please provide a screenshot showing what you're seeing when attempting to open your Studio file?
  5. Are you receiving any error messages? If so, can you please provide a screenshot?

Thank you Shaina for your reply - it's much appreciated.

  • currently using Studio v1.28.1 (built March 25, 2020) on a Windows 10 Pro computer (see cap below)
  • this started happening about 4 weeks ago
  • not getting any errors opening or working with the file
  • see screenshot of what I'm seeing below

I am also having the same problem as the OP.  could you post updates or do I also need to request a support ticket?
