Problem with text

Hi,

I have a problem with my text tool.

When I select my text tool and click on my artboard, nothing is happening.

You can see my problem just below.

UPDATE

After working with our Support team, Bastien was able to solve the issues he was encountering by reinstalling again using these steps:

1. Open the Control Panel
2. Click on Programs
3. Click on Programs and Features
4. Find Studio on the list, right click and select ‘Uninstall’
5. Search for the below locations using the Windows File Explorer and delete the following folders:

  • C:\Users\[insert_your_user_name]\AppData\Roaming\InVision Studio
  • C:\Users\[insert_your_user_name]\AppData\Local\invision-studio
  • C:\Users\[insert_your_user_name]\.invision-studio

6. Also be sure to delete any InVision Studio setup/exe files under This PC > Downloads
7. Download and reinstall Studio from here: https://invisionapp.com/studio

Hi Bastien,

Sorry to see that you're running into issues with using the text tool in Studio. To get a better idea of what's causing this, can you please provide the following information?:

  1. A screenshot of your "About this Mac" overview or other OS details.
  2. The version of Studio that you're using.
  3. Was the text tool working properly in the past? If so, when did you notice this issue starting?
  4. Have you attempted to completely log out and shutdown Studio, then reboot and sign back in?
  5. Just to make sure, are you using the drop-down menu from the selector tool to choose the text tool? Then, once you click on the canvas, a new text layer will be inserted. Double clicking a text layer from the select mode will go into text mode.

My operating system is Windows 10 (2004 version (19041.329))

Regarding the Studio version, I'm using version 1.28.1.

In the past, everything worked perfectly, it was just yesterday when the tool started to stop working.

I tried restarting studio, logging out of my invision account and uninstalling and reinstalling invision studio.

I have also tried to use the text tool from the dropdown menu and from the shortcut (T) but nothing happens when I click on my artboard. It just shows me the text cursor, but when i click in my artboard, no text box is created and no text layer is created.
