New to DSM - Issue pushing to DSM edits the original Sketch file I am pushing from

I am using the new DSM plugin to push changes from my Sketch file. For some reason every time I upload a change to the draft my Sketch file I just pushed from shows edited. When I go look at the appearance styles I updated they now show edited and need to be updated again. While troubleshooting I made sure to remove the library from this Sketch file, I was thinking it may create a loop. That did not seem make a difference.

Hi Sydney,

Sorry to hear that you're running into some issues with DSM. To get a better idea of what's going on here, can you please provide some additional information?:

  1. The version of DSM that you're using.
  2. The version of Sketch that you're using.
  3. I'm having a little trouble understanding the exact process that you're going through. That being said, can you please provide a screencast or what you're doing step-by-step when encountering these issues?
  4. Additionally, can you please provide any screenshots that display the issues you're facing?

DSM Version: v0.6.10

Sketch Version: 63.1 (92452)

 

I took the DSM Example and downloaded locally, changing the name to use it as a starting point. I have been making interactive changes and pushing them daily to the draft as I work my way through the file. 

 

Step by step:

1. Make edits to my symbols based on new needs. 

2. Update the btn/secondary/hover Appearance I made changes to. 

3. Save my Sketch file.

4. Push changes using DSM.

5. During upload my Sketch file changes to -Edited without me making any changes.

6. The btn/secondary/hover Appearance I updated is now showing changed and needs updated again.

Thank you very much for providing your version details and your step-by-step process including screenshots. This really helps clear up the issues that you're running into.

Before moving forward with troubleshooting, I would like you to try updating to the latest versions of Sketch (66.1) and DSM (0.6.4). Please note that we support the last two most recent major non-beta versions of Sketch. For the best experience, we recommend downloading the newest non-beta version of Sketch. Once you have updated to the latest versions of each of these applications, can you please retest and let us know if the issue persists?
