Craft upload is super slow

My team and I (so different devices) had noticed in the last two weeks that Craft upload is ridiculously slow, also for just one screen. We are working on UX prototypes, so no assets and no images, and an external library for symbols. Craft and Sketch are both updated to the last version.

We need to wait minutes every time we need to do an upload, affecting our workflow. 

How can we manage this?

Thanks for reaching out, sorry about the performance issues you've been finding with Craft for Sketch! To help me pinpoint what might be causing these issues, would you mind please sharing a few additional details?:

  1. Do the speed issues continue if you use a different WiFi or data connection? If using a VPN, does it help if you temporarily disable it? 
  2. Are you able to provide the macOS version for a few of those encountering these issues?
  3. Are you or any of your team seeing any error messages or does the upload eventually go through?

Hi Shaina,

 

1. My team is working remotely, so everyone has a different WiFi and no VPN, and everyone experienced the same problem

2. Catalina, version 10.15.5

3. No, any error messages, and at the end the upload works, but after several minutes.

Hello, I have the same problem on my side. Since a couple of weeks I noticed that uploading artboards from Sketch to inVision is very slow even for just 1 screen.

I have a super fast internet connection and I am on a Mac running Catalina 10.15.5, no error messages.

Hi Gary,

Sorry to hear that you're also running into performance issues with Craft for Sketch To get a better idea of what's causing this, can you please provide some more details?:

  1. Do the speed issues continue if you use a different WiFi or data connection? If using a VPN, does it help if you temporarily disable it? 
  2. Can you please provide a screenshot of your "About this Mac" overview?
  3. What version of Sketch are you using?
  4. What version of Craft Manager are you using?

Hi,

I'm having the exact same problem with ridiculously slow upload speeds starting from a few weeks back.

-I'm using the most recent versions of Sketch & Craft

-My WiFi network is a very strong 5g network

-I'm running MacOS BigSur v11.4

Any recommendations? This is becoming a real problem for my team.

Hi There,

Experiencing extreme slow and buggy craft on my Mac Mini M1 as well.
All my software is up to date. Wifi cannot be the issue because I'm cabled and using 200mb/s.

 Love using craft on daily base but never experienced a smooth working Craft plugin.

macOS Big Sur 11.4

I'm having the same issue. It worked fine up until a couple of weeks ago, but now it takes several minutes for the upload to complete. As earlier comments, the upload is successful in the end, but it's reeeeeealy slow.

I've noticed the craft window freezes and is unresponsive during the "Publishing" state, mouse cursor turns to the spinning wheel for a few minutes until it changes to "extracting arboards"... then it quickly completes the process.

EDIT: I've timed it - 1 minute 26 seconds on "publishing" state and then just an extra 3 seconds to finish the process.

I have the same issue. Latest Craft and Sketch versions, super fast wi-fi, Catalina 10.15. Upload of my prototypes on InVision is super slow. Can you help?

Thanks for reaching out to our Community! I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing some slow syncing. If you could provide some further details, I'll be happy to pass this on to our Support team for further invesigation: 

  • If you're able to share here, could you please send through some screenshots or a screen recording showing this issue occurring, especially of any error messages you might see?
  • Could you give a rough idea of how long it's taking you to sync?
  • If you try connecting to an alternate network (no VPNs, firewalls, proxies, etc.), does the slow syncing persist?
  • Could you please confirm the version numbers for Craft and Sketch
