DSM Plugin does not appear in Sketch

I've onboarded 2 of my colleagues to DSM and gave them access to a DSM project.

They both are running the latest version of Sketch and craft.

However, none of them see DSM plugin appear in their plugins.

Hi Frank,

Sorry to hear that your colleagues are encountering issues with DSM not showing up in Sketch. To get a better idea of why this is happening, can you please provide the following information?:

  1. The version of Sketch that your colleagues are using.
  2. The version of Craft Manager that your colleagues are running.
  3. Have any of those encountering this issue tried to uninstall and reinstall Craft Manager?
  4. Are they receiving any error messages? If so, can you provide a screenshot of that error message?
  5. If you're able to obtain a screenshot of what they're seeing on their end, that would be very helpful!

I am having a similar issue with Sketch and DSM.

1.  Sketch Version: Version 66.1 (97080)

2. Craft V 1.0.97

3. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Craft Manager

4. No error messages

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! You should see an option at the very bottom of the Craft Manager window where you can change your environment (screenshot below). When this is first changed to DSM you will be prompted to install your Sketch plugins, which gives you access to the DSM icon in Sketch.

In your screenshot it looks like the Environment option is cut off. Can you please provide a new screenshot showing the Environment?

Thanks for getting this screenshot back so quickly. It is strange that there is no Environment option. These details should help sort this out, so please answer if you can recall any of these:

  1. When you signed up did you the Enterprise link or the personal link (https://projects.invisionapp.com/dsm)?
  2. Were you able to successfully create your organization and library when you signed up, or did you receive any errors?
  3. What version of macOS are you using?

In addition to providing these details, can you also please uninstall and reinstall Craft to see if the Environments option shows up? Please let me know what effect this has.

I appreciate your patience with this and will keep an eye out for your reply.

Hi Shaina,

1. Personal link

2. I was successfully able to create the org DSM through InVision upon signing up, with no errors

3. MacOS Mojave: 10.14.6 (18G103)

 

I have tried installing and reinstalling the craft application and still have no luck.

Let's try a couple more things! Can you please try uninstalling and reinstalling once more using the steps below?:

To uninstall Craft:

  1. Click the Craft Manager icon in the macOS menu bar.
  2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Click Preferences.
  4. Click Uninstall to uninstall the plugins.

The plugins should now be uninstalled. To reinstall:

  1. Click the Craft Manager icon again in the macOS menu bar.
  2. Select the Tools tab at the top of the window.
  3. Click Install.

If you continue to have issues, can you try to open Craft Manager from the macOS taskbar, and press cmd+shift+b? What do you see when you do this?

Hi there,


I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app several times, based on the directions noted. I've also tried restarting sketch and my laptop and unfortunately I am still am not able to access the DSM tab in sketch.

I'm not sure what you mean by open Craft Manager from the macOS taskbar, and press cmd+shift+b, can you provide a bit more context?
