Feature request: Parenting animations to their parent group

Since Studio has the timeline, which can be used to create animation sequences, it would be useful, or even necessary, to have the motion of each layer parented to its parent group, instead of the artboard.

If I want to create an animation sequence where the parent group moves first, and the children after it, this is all I can do in a single transition currently:

Hi Ville,

Thanks for reaching out here in Community about this desired behavior in Studio. To get a better idea of the feature that best fits your request, can you clarify if you're hoping to avoid linking artboards and would rather link layers instead?

After taking a look at some of the feature requests we're currently tracking for Studio, I found the following that may fit what you're looking for:

  1. Add the ability to manually create animation links between Studio components.
  2. Allow components in Studio to have multiple states.

If either one of those features sounds like what you're looking for, please let me know.

Look forward to hearing from you,
