Though It was working fine at the start but after i changed my artboard size by increasing it vertically, it stopped scrolling in the review. Pls what can i do?

For anybody else that may be running into similar issues, Kayode was able to reach a solution with one of our Support agents. Taking a look at Kayode's file, our Support agent noticed that the viewport dimensions were set to the same size as the artboard. When the viewport and artboard are the same dimensions, scrolling doesn't work because Studio thinks the screen is the same size and there's nothing to scroll to. After adjusting the viewport dimensions, we were able to scroll as expected.

You can read more about the viewport and other preview settings here: Previewing Studio Prototypes

Hi Kayode,

Thanks for reaching out today! I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with vertical scrolling in Studio.

We'd like to gather some additional details to assist in troubleshooting this further. Would it be possible to provide the following?

  • Can you please send a screenshot of your operating system information? We need to see both the “Device specifications” and the “Windows specifications” sections on the “About” page. To grab that info, click the Start (Windows icon) button, and then click Settings > System > About.

  • Which version of Studio for Windows are you using?

  • Does this occur in all Studio files?

Once we have those details, we'll be able to investigate further.

Thanks!

Camille

Thanks for providing those details, Kayode! We have received similar reports of Studio designs do not scroll consistently in Preview or after publishing when some or all of the layers on an artboard have been pinned. This happens to break the scrolling, because the elements remain static.  The elements that are expected to scroll have been pinned, thus it looks like the scrolling is broken because the elements remain static.

Can you confirm if any of your layers have been pinned in your Studio prototype? If so, you can remove the pinning from the affected layers, and scrolling comes back as a workaround in the interim.

Once you've looked into this, can you please let us know if you have any pinned layers that were causing this issue? I'd love to get your instance formally reported in a ticket so that we can keep you in the loop with this issue.

Look forward to hearing back,

Shaina

Hi Kayode,

Thanks for following up! The Fix Position, or pin, icon is used for fixed positioning of a layer or group. For example, you can use this feature to create a fixed header or footer. When scrolling, the content of your artboard will move while the header remains fixed in place. To learn more, check out the article Fixed headers and footers in Studio. Learn more about pinning here

Please let me know if you have any other questions. If you're unable to determine if you have any pinned layers, we can certainly connect you with a Support agent so they can test directly with your file.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Shaina

Hello Shaina,

I do not think it's the pinned layers as i have cross-checked again. I will appreciate an assistance from a support agent .

Thank you
