Artboards disappears from the canvas

I have trouble with artboards in studio just disappearing. All of the content is in the layer side bar (left) but the canvas is empty. The preview-button is inactive even though I click on one artboard, and the "center selection" option in zoom does not respond either. And it's not possible to copy the artboards from the side menu and pasting them into a new file, unfortunately. The file size is still 3,4 MB. Is there any way to retrieve the artboards again? Or restore the file to an older save? I store the file in our firms OneDrive.

Three days work are now gone and I am furious. This has happened three times with different studio files the past two weeks, both to me and to one team member. 


My Studio version is 1.28.1.

I use a Mac Book Pro (macOS Catalina (version 10.15.4), and my team member uses Windows (Lenovo) so it does not seem like it's a device problem.

Oh no! This is really frustrating and I'm so sorry to hear that you've run into these issues now multiple times with your Studio prototypes. I definitely want to help get to the bottom of what's causing these issues for you. Thanks for taking the time to provide the details that you have above.

Part of my job is to take important threads from Community to meetings with relevant Product Managers to discuss the struggles our customers are having. I will be sure to raise this in my next meeting with the Studio Product Managers.

Additionally, I'd like to have our Support team take a closer look at this for you internally so they can test with your specific files. Before passing this along to them, can you please clarify if you're encountering any error messages? If so, can you please provide a screenshot of the error message you're seeing?

Hi Shaina,

Thank you for your feedback. 

Unfortunately there are no warning/error messages regarding this problem. The file can be opened as usual, but the artboards just aren't showing. 


It would be nice if the Support team could look further into this :)
