New DSM onboarding flow. Any way to avoid this?

Hi there,

I maintain a DSM site for my organization. One use case for our DSM is education for a wide variety of design, research, and product partners.

Over the past week or so, numerous folks have mentioned needing to go through a brief DSM onboarding flow when accessing our site. While not too much trouble, it has caused some confusion and a barrier to entry for some.

Is there anyway to disable this onboarding flow when sharing out a link? Particularly, is there any way to avoid this for flow for those with just viewing permissions or organization visitors?

Hi Genny,

Thanks for taking the time to write into Community with this feedback about the onboarding flow in DSM. To clarify, only DSM users including admins, editors, and viewers, will see the onboarding flow that you've mentioned. Sharing a public link to non-authenticated users or visitors shouldn't trigger this. Are you seeing something different? If so, this is not the intended experience, and we certainly will need to do some troubleshooting.

At this time, there is no way to disable the onboarding flow for users within your DSM organization. We present these onboarding questions to guide first-time DSM users, and to gather data for role-specific tailored experiences we plan to build in the future.

I hope this helps clear some things up, and look forward to hearing back from you.
