Overlay Function Freezes Prototype on Mobile

Hi There,

I've got a mobile prototype set up, and am hoping to figure out why a "click" interaction using an overlay works on desktop, but when I open the prototype in my InVision mobile app... It freezes. If I tap the screen again it allows me to keep using the prototype (it's almost as if the overlay is being sent somewhere else on the screen, because it follows the same pattern when it opens on desktop - that you can click away from the overlay element to close it). I've read a few similar posts referencing this (I think), but it didn't seem like there were any answers/solutions.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for reaching out here in Community about the issues you're facing with overlays in your mobile prototype. To get a better idea of what's going on here, can you please provide some additional information?:

  1. What model device (e.g. iPhone X) are you using?
  2. What version of mobile OS (e.g. iOS 12.0) are you on?
  3. What version of the app are you using? You can find this in Settings > InVisionApp.
  4. If you're able to do so publicly, could you provide a share link for the affected prototype?
  5. Are you able to provide a screencast demonstrating what happens when interacting with overlays on your mobile so we can see exactly what's happening on your end?
