Issues with exporting type styles and displaying prototype in app

Hi guys,

Just started using Invision Studio and to see how it compares to Figma and Framer prototyping. I'm having a few issues when previewing my prototype on the Invision app and when publishing the prototype.

1) When I scan the QR code in the app it opens in an iOS modal and therefore doesn't behave like a native app. Is there a way around this?

2) One way I found was to publish the prototype and open it from the 'My prototypes' section of the app. The issue with this is that it's now not displaying the locally installed font family (Roboto) on the prototype. Is there a way of uploading the font files to get around this?

Thanks in advance.

Hey Lewis,

Mike from InVision Support here. I'm really sorry to hear you're experiencing these troubles with your Studio Project.

To get a better idea why this is happening, could you please provide the following information:

  1. What device type is the Studio Project you are mirroring to the iOS app?
  2. Could you provide a screenshot showing what you see on your phone after mirroring your Studio Project?
  3. I've tested Publishing a Studio Project with the Roboto font family to InVision and was able to view the fonts in Chrome. Can you please send a screenshot showing what this font looks like on your end?
  4. What browser and operating system are you using? You can get these details by going to, clicking “Copy”, and pasting the link it gives you here?

Once we have these details, we should have a better idea why this is taking place. As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out, we're here to help any way we can.

Looking forward to hearing back!

All the best,
