Transferring a prototype to a client

Im going to attempt to transfer a prototype from my work account (enterprise) to a clients (yet to be set up) account (likely personal). 

Has anyone had any experience with this? Is it possible? 

Are there any guides out there for help?

Hi Owen,

In order to transfer ownership of a prototype to a client outside of your Enterprise account, our Support team will need to work directly with you internally as explained in this help article. To make a prototype transfer in the future, please contact our Support team directly here with the following information:

  1. The name of the prototype that you would like transferred
  2. The email address of the account owner (your client) that you like the projects transferred to.

I will open a ticket on your behalf with our Support team requesting this information. Please keep an eye out for an email soon.

Hi guys


I have dealt with this before but not sure if this is going to help after reading the reply :P


The way we went about it was 

  • Agreement with the client on process etc. in regards to having the prototype and what it meant. This is so everyone is on the same page in terms of roles and responsibilities. 
  • Create the clients account on InVision (If the client doesn't have one).
  • Find the prototype to be transferred.
  • Select transfer ownership from the prototype menu and then enter the client email that is associated with an InVision account. 
  • Transfer
  • There we go :)
