Export Symbols to DSM problems

Dear Invision Team,

I have issues exporting Symbols from Sketch to Invision DSM with the Craft plugin. Some Symbols get stuck in the upload screen. Only way to get out, is to force quit Sketch. Tried a hundred times over. Some Symbols export without problems and some make me stuck in upload screen.

The versions im working with are:

Craft: 1.0.91 (169)

Sketch: 57.1

Is there a solution for this problem?

Hi William,

So sorry to hear that you're having trouble exporting your symbols. It looks like you're running a version of Sketch that's no longer supported. Since we only support the 2 most recent versions (as mentioned in this article), can you please update Sketch any give this another try? If the issue continues after the update, please let us know and we will dig deeper.

Hey Monika,

I am now running with the latest versions i believe:

Sketch: v 62

Chrome: V 79.0.3945.130

Craft: v1.0.91 (169)

Mac OS: 10.15.2

The problem still aint fixed im afraid.

I really hope you have a solution!

Hi William,

Thank you for posting this update! Very sorry to hear that updating your Sketch version didn't fix the trouble you're having uploading symbols to DSM from Sketch. Could you share a few more details to help us look into this?

  1. If possible, could you send us a screenshot or screencast showing your symbols getting stuck when uploading to DSM?
  2. Do you receive any error messages when you encounter trouble uploading symbols to DSM? If so, could you share a screenshot of these messages?
  3. If you reinstall Craft's plugins, do you still have trouble adding symbols to DSM afterwards? Here's the re-installation process, in case it's helpful:

    1. Click the Craft Manager icon in the macOS menu bar.
    2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the Craft window.
    3. Click Preferences.
    4. Click Uninstall to uninstall the plugins.
    5. Click the Craft Manager icon again in the menu bar.
    6. Select the Tools tab at the top of the window.
    7. Click Install.

Hi Jeremy,

I do not receive any error messages. The loading screen just get stuck. (screenshot below)

Uploading Icons/ buttons etc seems to work fine.

I re-installed the Craft Manager a couple of times. But that doesnt work either.

Hi William,

We reached out to you via the ticket a couple of times requesting more information but we haven't had a reply back. Your ticket has been opened under the same email address that you're using here in the Community so if you haven't received our messages, please check your spam/junk folder or search your inbox for an email containing "Export Symbols to DSM problems" in the subject.

Once you've provided the additional information via the ticket, we will be able to troubleshoot this further.
