Studio crashed and all progress gone

My studio froze and I was forced to force quit Studio. I really just worked 4h+ on something and thought it was auto saved, all my progress is gone. Only my published prototype in Invision is up-to-date. Please tell me that there are recovery options. I'm really stressing out.

Thanks for reaching out — I'm so sorry to hear that you've lost some of your work after force-quitting Studio

Unfortunately, Studio does not have the ability to auto save at this time. Sadly, we would be unable to recover any lost work. 

I do know that our Product team is closely tracking a request to allow Studio to autosave. I will open a ticket on your behalf to let them know that you've been impacted by this.

I feel so terrible that I don't have better news to share at this point. Please let us know if there's anything else we can help out with.

Hi , I am also experiencing invision studio crashed, and it is quite consistence. I am not sure it is because of the way to design our prototype. but it's just keep crashing in MAC ,please let me know it's a way to optimise our work in order not to crash.

Hi there,

I noticed that one of our Support agents has following up on your ticket with some troubleshooting questions. They will need the information requested in their response in order to determine if you're encountering the same issue that our Engineering team is currently looking at.

This is so terrible. I too just lost 3hrs of prototype work. Autosave/ back up every 10/20min should be made available as a basic feature

I just started use inVision instead od adobe Xd and I lost my job as well... Im so angry about that ...  i think to back to adobe again...

It's certainly not the information we want to hear and if you'd like for our Support Engineering team to dig into this further, please let us know the following details: 

  • What browser and operating system are you using? You can get these details by going to, clicking “Copy”, and pasting the link it gives you here.
  • Do you know a date/time a crash occurred?
  • Do you still have the Studio file available for us to look into?

Additionally, I'm going to add your vote to add an auto-save function in Studio to ensure we can avoid these kinds of situations in the future.
