Auto Save Feature

Having suffered the same issue on two separate occasions, the lack of an autosave function in Studio has resulted in the loss of hours of work when Studio has encountered an error and crashed, forcing a restart.

This surely is a fundamental and basic feature, and im really surprised that it isnt already built into, what is fast becoming my primary piece of software, and an excellent piece of kit.

Thank you for raising this here in our Community. I'm so sorry that you've lost your work in Studio, I can only imagine how frustrating this must be. I absolutely agree that having an auto-save feature in Studio would be really useful and our Product team are currently tracking the demand for this. I can see that you have raised it in the past with us and we have your interest linked to this feature request.

really disappointed to get the latest update of Studio and there is still no auto-save feature. come on team this isn't much to ask for but the world of difference it makes when Studio crashes is immeasurable as i dont then have to spend hours redoing work lost.

It's Mike from InVision here. I certainly understand how frustrating this situation can be and want to apologize for the troubles. Thankfully our Engineering team is indeed aware of this issue and while we don’t have an immediate fix available, this is something our Community Moderator will be raising in the next Product meeting.

It looks like we've already got your vote added to create an auto-save feature, but I wanted to let you know we are indeed seeking a resolution. Once we have an update, we will keep you posted.

Hi guys,

I'm sorry, I love inVision, but the lack of autosave resulting in lost work, and lagging response time in implementing this has forced me over to a competitor.

this really is a big deal and its a shame that the InVision guys are just not getting it. not everyone who experiences issues will actually raise the issue (infact the largest % of Users will just suffer in silence)
Please give us Autosave in the next release

We're terribly sorry that we're unable to provide a solution for this and we understand how it must be impacting your workflow. The Product and Engineering teams prioritize issues based on their scope and impact. For that reason, we don’t have an ETA on this potential feature at this time.
 
We’re constantly working on improvements, and we greatly value opinions like yours. Part of my job is to take important threads from Community to meetings with relevant Product Managers to discuss the struggles our customers are having. I will be sure to raise your concerns and request in my next meeting with the Studio team. I’m also opening a ticket on your behalf, Michael, so that you can stay up to date on the status of this feature request. Please look for an email confirming we've tracked your feedback.

Hey InVision support team!

Just wanted to bump this request. Long-time InVision user; I am new to Studio, and I really impressed with it so far, but I would say that lack of auto-save is a dealbreaker. Like other users here, I have already lost work in Studio due to lack of Auto-Save (part of the problem is we were conditioned to Auto-Save in the, ahem, other app, so I haven't needed to deliberately save my design work in years.)

Hoping you can integrate this feature in the near future...Thanks!
