can't install craft in window 10 when update photoshop

Updated Photoshop to the latest version CC 2020 and the Sync panel became white and no-responsive. When I tried to reinstall I got the same "Please install the latest Adobe Photoshop version before running the installer." error message.

Thank you for taking the time to flag this issue, and I'm sorry to hear that you're having troubles reinstalling Craft for Photoshop. Can you please provide some additional details, so we can have a closer look?

  1. Could you please confirm at which point of the installation you see this error? Does this appear immediately as soon as you open the installation file?
  2. Could you please provide your Windows operating system details?
  3. Which version of Craft are you trying to install?

1) It appears immediately as soon as you open the installation file.
2) Windows 10 Pro - OS
3) latest version in this site - https://www.invisionapp.com/craft

I have the same issue, i installed the latest version of photoshop 2020 and when I try to install the craft, I get the same error...

Thank you both for providing those details, Vipul and Abderrahem. We really apologize for the inconvenience here, and hope to get you back up and running soon.

Before passing this onto our Support team for further investigation, can you each please check a few things?:

  1. Can you confirm you have admin privileges on the machine you're downloading Craft to?
  2. Additionally, did you install Craft Sync while logged in as an Admin user on your Windows machines? This may be related to an open issue that our Engineering Team is investigating where non-Admin users are unable to install the Craft plugin for Photoshop.
  3. If you were logged in as a regular user, could you please test logging in as an Admin user and see if that allows you to install Craft Sync?

Hi,

I have the same issue too.

I updated Photoshop2020, and when i try to Sync i have this message while the checkbox is activated

And when i try to install CraftInstaller.exe (with admin rights) i have this :

Any help ?

Thanks for sending us these details our way. Based on what you have reported, it looks like you've ran into a bug our Engineering team has been monitoring. 

Thanks for providing the details you have here in Community for our team to use for further troubleshooting. At this point, I’m opening a ticket on your behalf with our Support team so they can troubleshoot with you internally. Please keep an eye out for an email from one of our Support agents soon.

In the meantime, I know some users have had success getting around this error by taking the steps below:

  1. Quit Photoshop completely

  2. Download the Craft plugins for Photoshop.

  3. Unzip then file folders should appear.

  4. Navigate to  C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2020\Plug-ins\Generator

  5. Paste the folder copied com.invisionlabs.sync-generator and com.invisionlabs.freehand-generatorfolders there 

  6. Re-open Photoshop and attempt to sync.
