Can't Install latest version of Studio on Windows 10

Hi

I downloaded Studio and tried to install many times but I see a black screen and Invision logo and then nothing. the installer closes and nothing happens. Studio is not installed but it's in the Uninstall app page.

So sorry for the trouble with getting Studio to work on your Windows machine! We want to get you up and running as soon as possible. Can you please provide the following information so that we can take a closer look into why this might be happening?:

  1. Can you send over a screenshot of your Windows/GPU information?
  2. Do you have any AntiVirus programs running on your computer? 
  3. Can you please provide a screenshot showing any error messages that you might be receiving, or the blank screen you're referring to?
  4. What version of Studio have you installed?

I am having the exact same issue. I have antivirus software. I am not getting any error messages. I am trying to install InVision Studio for the first time with version 1.22.1. I double click the .exe file to run it. A black rectangle with the Studio logo pops up with a rotating square. The taskbar icon shows it progressing, and says "Installing" if I hover over it, but once the green bar reaches the end, it just closes out, the installer window disappears and nothing happens after that. And searching through my machine, InVision Studio was not installed.

Hi i have same problem, i use win 10, when i try install InVision Studio Setup 1.22.1, its only apear loading screen, and then gone. How to solve this problem ?

Hi Shaina,

the same issue. There is only black screen with logo during instalation and when I try to open app after instalation, there is only white screne that cannot be closed or minimized to tray using window buttons. App can be closed by right clicking on tray -> close window. Here you can see my screenshot.

Edit: I tried to install and run it as Administrator.

Hi, I have been having the same issue after downloading Studio on to an Intel NUC8i7HNK. Download is fine, installer creates a program file but then refuses to boot, leaving me with a white window open.

I have tried all compatibility modes including running as admin and at lower resolution, nothing has made a difference. There is no error code.

I have notified your Support agent of your comment here in Community so that they can best assist you moving forward.

To reiterate your Support agent's troubleshooting, can you please try the following?:

  1. Uninstall Studio (completely remove all Studio files and installation files)
  2. Disconnect the External Monitor or any other connected USBs
  3. Re-install Studio with the dock disconnected using new installation files from here: https://www.invisionapp.com/studio

    I already post error image, there is no message error, when i open invision studio, its only appear loading screen, and then its suddenly close. nothing happen after that

    Yes, iam user administrator

 

I try reinstall, cleaning up, and it still happen, how to solve it ?

I had the same problem. Did a few things which has resolved it.

  • disconnected monitor display and used just laptop
  • used CCleaner to clean up files and registry
  • Studio then installed successfully
  • Plugged back external monitor and got error message saying something went wrong
  • Quit and restarted
  • Got error message saying hardware not compatible. Asked to restart for the app to update hardware settings
  • Now able to start

worst app it not install in windows 10 and windows 7 then why you say your web site two platform support please remove win link only display mac only. I'm very disappointed.

I'm very sorry to hear that you're also having trouble installing Studio! Although Windows 7 is not currently supported, you should be able to install it on Windows 10 or later with a 64-bit Intel or AMD processor. To better understand why you're having trouble, can you please confirm a couple of details:

1. Can you please send a screenshot of your operating system information? We need to see both the “Device specifications” and the “Windows specifications” sections on the “About” page. To grab that info, click the Start (Windows icon) button, and then click Settings > System > About.

2. Which version of Studio for Windows are you trying to install?

3. Could you provide screenshots or screencast showing what’s going wrong when trying to install Studio?

4. Could you please confirm if you are able to install it in the compatibility mode?
