Menu bar Export should not rely on side-panel Export configuration.

The side panel export feature is great once you know it's there.. but it took me (and others I've seen post here) coming here first to realize it was there in the first place. I thought I was stuck with exporting only the default SVG format.

A reason for this might be because when you first find the export feature in the menu bar (which is the typical place for an export function) , you don't think to look elsewhere. You've already found it.

IMO, the Microsoft philosophy of "a dozen different ways to do one thing" applies here. If you offer Export in the menu bar, it shouldn't rely on configuration from the side panel. It should offer its own configuration options independent of what has been set in the side panel.
