Exporting freehand in high resolution PDF or JPG is a critical business need. I need to attach versions to user stories for offline review and a link to a Freehand does not work.
InVision support has already said Export is not possible and one needs to splice together screenshots as a workaround. This is incredibly cumbersome and slowing down business workflow.
Another user submitted posted on 10/20/2018 as a feature request and no updates. When can this basic feature be integrated?
I have already submitted this as a feature request, so if you need the same feature, send in a support request to let them know you want this as well!
Thanks!

UPDATE
Great news! You can now export an entire Freehand as a still image—as a PNG file, specifically—by clicking the More menu icon (•••) and then clicking Export to image.
Hey Michael!
Thanks for posting here, and for submitting your feature request to Support. Our Community moderator, Shaina, will bring this FR up directly with the Freehand Product Manager. I don't think we can post an ETA, but you are heard here and we will advocate for your request!

Thanks Beth!
Hey, what happened with this feature? Was it added?
I'm also in the process of trying to export a good quality visual from our Freehand board.
It would be super useful and I don't imagine it's incredibly difficult to create? No? :)
Thanks,
George
Hi George,
Thanks for following up on this thread! The ability to export Freehand documents is still on Product Team's radar as a feature request. I'm very sorry we don't have an ETA to share but I will be sure to pass your comment onto our Community Moderator so they can discuss in their next meeting with the PM. I’m also opening a ticket on your behalf so we can track your interest for this potential feature. Please keep an eye out for an email indicating that we’ve formally logged your feedback.
Have a great day,
Monika
NOTE: If anybody else would like to add their feedback about this potential feature, please fill out a ticket with Support here detailing the feature you are looking for.
I have been using Freehand since it first came out. I haven't noticed any feature upgrades since the color options grew and transparency was added. I'm confused why this product doesn't get updated as often as everything else when, since switching completely to Figma, Freehand is the only InVision product I care about anymore.
Hi Lizz,
We're glad to hear that you've found Freehand useful! I've raised your comments with our Product Team during our most recent meeting.
After discussing this with them they mentioned that new improvements to Freehand are included in a broader InVision experience update that is coming this year. It includes text wrapping, smarter shape selection, and a refreshed UI that makes it easier to navigate and sketch your best ideas.
We appreciate your patience and are looking forward to getting the latest update into customer hands soon!
Have a wonderful day,
Shaina
Hi Shaina Torgerson!
Thank you for the reply. This morning, one person on my team got a major InVision update but two of the three of us did not. Neither did my personal, paid account. Do you know when this update will roll out to everyone? Is there any way to get it sooner than later?
Thanks again!
Hi Lizz,
Thanks for reaching out about this update. I just spoke with our Product Manager and this update is officially rolled out to all customers!
Please check again and see if you're now seeing the updated version of Freehand. If you have any feedback about the update, please don't hesitate to follow up.
Have a great day,
Shaina
I REALLY like the Freehand function, but the inability to export this is pretty much a dealbreaker. I'm in the early stages of my company and want to settle on the best prototyping toolkit. InVision seems like a good option except for this major oversight.
Hi Matt,
Thanks for hopping in here to add your feedback about the need for exporting Freehands. We're really happy to hear that you're loving using Freehand, but bummed that we've missed the mark on this request.
We’re constantly working on improvements, and we greatly value opinions like yours. Part of my job is to take important threads from Community to meetings with relevant Product Managers to discuss the struggles our customers are having. I will be sure to raise your concerns and request in my next meeting with this Product Manager.
I’m also opening a ticket on your behalf to track your interest for this feature. Please keep an eye out for an email confirming we've formally tracked your feedback.
Have a wonderful day,
Shaina
Again, if anybody else would like to add their feedback about this potential feature, please submit a support request detailing the feature you are looking for.
I echo everyone's request for an export functionality. Freehand is great platform but not being able to export puts me off using it in the future.
Being able to share PDFs of screens and user flows in order to share and collect feedback is essential to Freehand being a tool that works with how a designer uses it.
I really hope this feature is made available soon.
Hi Caroline!
I am letting Shaina, the Community Moderator, know about your request for this feature. You will likely receive a follow up email from her next confirming your vote for Freehand exports.
Cheers! - Caitlin
Thanks for adding your feedback to this Community thread, Caroline! As mentioned in my previous responses, I will continue to raise this feature request with our Product Team as we receive more requests for this potential feature.
In the meantime, I will open a ticket on your behalf to track your interest for this feature. Please keep an eye on your inbox for an email confirming we've tracked this for you.
Have a great day,

Hey all,
Yes +1 please! For our team this is absolutely mandatory to continue using freehand as well. :)
All the best + looking forward to hear about upcoming updates,
Max
Thanks for adding your feedback about this potential feature, Max! I've gone ahead and opened a ticket on your behalf to track your interest for this.
Have a great day!

InVision overall is a great design suite of tools but I agree that the inability to export is a huge dealbreaker. Most of us need/want to share the output of work in progress to non-design stakeholders in decks, so I'm very hesitant to set my team process around creating in Freehand knowing we're eventually going to hit a brick wall. Might have to use a more sophisticated tool like Miro. Honestly, you should prioritize this feature purely because there's a high likelihood you're losing Enterprise customers with this exact need.
Hi Shardool Pandit,
Thank you for taking the time to weigh in here! I've passed this feedback to our Product team. Please keep an eye out for an email indicating that we’ve formally tracked your interest in exporting Freehand content,
Have a great day!
Laura

Feature desired. Everyone else has summed up the desire nicely. I'd love to select elements and have the platform export the selection.
+1 on this feature request please. =)
The question how to export a Freehand has been raised in October 2018 (https://support.invisionapp.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360029179312-Print-or-export-Freehand) - the only answer till then is to vote for this feature. It's really sad that in almost two years nothing substantial has happened...
Hi everyone,
My name is Kacy and I'm the Product Marketing Manager for Freehand. Firstly, thank you so much for the continued input and feedback on Freehand. We're paying close attention to what you've shared here in Community, and have been growing the Freehand team to make improvements faster.
I'm excited to share that we are about 1 week away from releasing the ability to export your Freehand to a .png file. Once this has launched, we'll be sure to follow up on this thread with the official announcement!
Thanks again for sharing your feedback with the team here in Community. We appreciate it!
Have a great day,
Kacy
I see the export feature is now working. It exports the image to your downloads. Maybe you can explain what's happening more clearly, but otherwise a welcome addition.
Thanks
Hey Umit,
It's Mike from InVision here. Sorry for any confusion on this new feature.
Thankfully, the exporting features are pretty simple! Once you export the project using the steps below, the exported .PNG image is sent to your downloads folder:
Hope this helps clear things up a bit more for you. If you've got any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!
Best,
Mike
Hey all,
Wondered if there's a way to export text boxes as live text to other apps? or if its a planned feature
Hi Matan,
Thanks for checking in about this!
There's no way to currently export all text from Freehand to a specific file. However, having that ability would be a great addition to Freehand. We've made sure to let our Product team know about it and they are tracking it as a potential feature.
I'll be sure to pass along your interest as well so that our team knows the demand for this feature.
Thanks again for reaching out, and please don't hesitate to let me know if there's anything else we can help with!
Cheers,
Camille
Any news on adding an export to PDF feature. The PNG export is ok, but it is so low quality you have to take lots of pictures of your boards to make it worthwhile. A high resolution PDF would be very useful.
