Invision inspect not working even when I synced the artboard multiple times

Sketch Version: 55.2

Craft Version: 1.0.84

 

Cannot inspect any new Art board that I synced from craft


Update: The issue has been fixed with the latest Craft version 1.0.86

UPDATE

Great news! Our engineers identified the source of the and have released a fix in the newest version of Craft.  We have tested here and everything's working correctly once more.  Please update to the latest version of Craft, 1.0.86, and give this another try -- let us know if you are still having trouble.  Otherwise, thanks for your patience while we worked to fix this issue.

I want to ask, the artboard you are importing. Does it have the same name as any of your other boards?

I guessed it was the problem of the naming at first then I tried a couple of other tests:-

  1. Renamed the artboard to something different
  2. Copied the artboard and named it the new one different
  3. Created a new artboard from scratch and copy pasted all the layers in the new artboard
  4. Created a totally new artboard and created a simple design

None of the above worked. Checked out all my latest synced boards and all of them have the same problem except for the older ones which were just updated.

  1. A screenshot of your "About this Mac" overview, or other OS details.
  2. The version of the Craft Sync + Prototype plugin that you're running.
  3. A screencast or screenshot(s) displaying the issue.
  4. If you sync the same file to a new/different project, or a different file to that project do you get the same?
  5. If running any other Sketch plugins, can you please try disabling and syncing again?

    Yes happening to all of my new sync artboards

    Yes, tried that and it still exist

I'm having the exact same problem and have tried the steps mentioned above... including uninstall and re-install, dsabling plugins, restarting, creating new artboards...

Screens seem to upload properly, but Inspect mode remains unavailable:

 

Technical info: Sketch 55.2, Craft 1.0.84

Sorry to hear you are having a similar issue and that the steps mentioned are not working.

Can I ask, before I can give my input:

  1. The version of the Craft Sync + Prototype plugin that you're running.
  2. Are you running any other Sketch plugins, can you please try disabling and syncing again?

  1. I'm running Craft 1.0.84 with Sync / Prototype 2.3.133
  2. As mentioned in my post, I have unfortunately already tried to disable all plugins

I just found out something extremely strange... which "solved" the issue in a way.

So I'm working in `FILE A`, and my problem is that Inspect doesn't work with uploads via Sync.

  1. I copy an artboard, and paste it in a new Sketch document, called `FILE B`.
  2. I upload this artboard via Sync to the same InVision project
  3. The artboard gets updated, and suddenly Inspect is activated
  4. Now I go back to `FILE A`, change something on the original artboard so it will upload via Sync
  5. It uploads, and Inspect is still activated
  6. If I try with any other artboard from `FILE A`, Inspect will not work
  7. If I copy an artboard in `FILE B`, Sync it, Inspect works — then I go back to `FILE A`, Sync the same artboard, Inspect still works but just for this artboard...

I think the solution will be to paste all my artboards in `FILE B` and work from there.

FYI, I have tried to "Save as..." my original file, but it didn't fix the issue...
