Losing edits made to documentation in browser

When we first started using DSM I thought the in-browser editor was great. It would enable the non-Sketch users on our design system team (accessibility, copy) to add their notes to the documentation themselves.

However, after several weeks, we've had many instances of these users losing the edits they've made in the browser. I'm not sure if it's just a bug or if it's because two people are working on the same page at the same time. (If the latter, I imagine the ability to check a page out for editing would fix this.)

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have a good workaround? Right now most of my team is making their edits in a Word document to be safe, then pasting into DSM, formatting there, and hoping for the best, but this doesn't seem like the most efficient way.

Thanks for reaching out here in Community about this issue that you and your team are running into with DSM.  This sounds like an issue that our DSM product team is currently investigating.

That being said, I would like to have our Support team take a closer look at this for you. They will be able to offer any potential workarounds in the meantime. Please keep an eye out for a message from one of our Support agents too.
