Scrolling in preview

Hi there,

I see you've recently updated the preview to have the different presets so you can now view how things will look on specific devices, which I like the idea of and will come in handy at work. However, since the update (maybe yesterday?) I can't seem to scroll with any of the settings applied in the preview window. See screenshot. I've tried playing with the viewport but I haven't had any luck with it yet.

Cheers

Dan

Hi Dan,

Sorry to hear that scrolling isn't working properly for you when previewing your Studio prototype. To figure out what might be causing this issue, can you please provide some additional information?:

  1. A screenshot of your "About this Mac" overview
  2. A screenshot of your Studio version details
  3. A screenshot of your Inspector (right tool bar) panel displaying your scrolling settings
  4. Is this happening with all prototypes, or just the one displayed in your screenshot?

Additionally, I'd like to have you please perform the following steps if you haven't already done so:
Open Studio > InVision Studio Studio > Sign out > Close Studio > Re-open Studio > Sign in and attempt to use preview once more

Please let me know if this information resolves anything for you, or if you're continuing to have issues.

Look forward to hearing back,

Shaina

Thanks for getting back to me Shaina, I didn't see the Preview/Scrolling section.

Cheers for your help.

One last bit of feedback I would like to add whilst I'm here is that I can't see that a colour is selected in the swatch panel. I think it has a light blue around it but it's really difficult to see it, could that be made more obvious. That would be great. Other than that it's a great tool and a pleasure to use.

Cheers

Hi Dan,

Glad to hear that you were able to solve the scrolling issue! Please let me know if you continue to have any issues with this in the future.

In regards to the swatch panel issue you mentioned, can you please provide a screenshot of what you mean? Once I have a better idea, I can see if we are currently tracking a feature request for this.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Shaina

In my global colours area once I've got an element that has the colour on the page selected. It's not obvious which blue I've got selected. If you see screenshot.

One other thing that I've struggled to do which would be really handy is to be able to create radial progress charts (see screenshots) currently I have to create them in sketch and then move them over. Am I missing a way to do this or does it not exist yet?

Thanks

Dan

Hi Dan,

Thanks for providing those screenshots! That makes things a lot clearer.

I would like for our Support team to take a closer look at this for you to see if we have had similar reports of this usability issue. I can definitely see how it can get confusing to determine what color you have selected in your swatch panel.

I will open a ticket on your behalf with our Support team so that they can take a look at both the color swatch and radial chart issues. Please keep an eye out from one of our Support agents soon.

Thanks again for raising these issues, and providing all the necessary details.

Have a wonderful day,

Shaina
