Hi Zhangyang,

Sorry to hear that you're unable to open Craft. To clarify, are you receiving any error messages? If so, can you please provide a screenshot of the errors you're seeing?

Thanks,

Hi Zhangyang,

I'd like to have you perform a comprehensive, deep uninstall/reinstall of Craft using the steps below. Please skip any steps that are not applicable (e.g. if a file/folder mentioned is not present) and let me know if you get stuck anywhere along the way:

  1. Close Craft Manager (by clicking into the "C" > clicking the gear icon > choosing Close).
  2. Go into Sketch, and navigate to Plugins ➝ Manage Plugins.
  3. In the pop-up modal, select Craft by InVision Labs, and click the gear icon in the lower left and select the uninstall option. This will move some items to the trash.
  4. Quit Sketch entirely.
  5. Open the Activity Monitor (via Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor), and then force quit the Craft Manager and Panels (if applicable) processes.
  6. Open Spotlight and search for ~/Library/Application Support/
  7. Delete the com.invisionlabs.CraftManager folder, the com.invisionlabs.CraftManager.json file, the com.invisionlabs.CraftInstallerfolder, and the CraftManager folder.
  8. Open the com.bohemiancoding.sketch3 folder.
  9. Delete the Panels folder (if applicable). Please note that these steps will remove any custom Type or Photos items you’ve created in Craft Data. If you'd like to preserve those, please go to ~/Library/Application Support/com.bohemiancoding.sketch3/Panels/.settings and back up the file "com.invisionlabs.data."
  10. Open the Plugins folder.
  11. Delete the Panels.sketchplugin file (if applicable).
  12. Navigate to the Downloads folder.
  13. Search for craftinstaller and delete any files that deal with the Craft Installation process.
  14. In Applications or the folder in which you installed Craft Manager, delete CraftManager.app.
  15. Empty the Trash.
  16. Go to https://craft-assets.invisionapp.com/CraftManager/production/CraftManager.zip and unzip the CraftManager
  17. Drag and drop the Craft Manager app into your computer's "Applications" folder or the folder of your choice before launching it.
  18. Open Craft Manager and then install Craft for Sketch.
  19. If you had backed up the "com.invisionlabs.data" file before performing these steps: launch Sketch now in order to rebuild the ` ~/Library/Application Support/com.bohemiancoding.sketch3/Panels/.settings ` directory. Then, place the backed up "com.invisionlabs.data" file in the ".settings" folder and restart Sketch to restore your custom Type & Photos items.

Let me know if this helps solve things for you.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Shaina

Hi Shaina, I believe I have the same problem.

I just installed OS X El Capitan to be able to use CraftManager, and after installation it just won't open. So i removed everything and anything that was related to Craft (overreacting here).

I don't have a "Go into Sketch, and navigate to Plugins ➝ Manage Plugins", option as mentioned above..

Help, please.

Hi,

I have the same issue as above. Craft Manager suddenly stopped working with error message saying it cannot be opened. I don't see the craft icon in my top nav bar either. I tried uninstalling and installing again. But that did not help. Adding screenshots below

  1. screenshot of your "About this Mac" overview.
  2. The version of Craft Manager that you have downloaded.
  3. A screenshot showing the issues and/or error message(s) you're running into. - I saw the error a couple of times but do not see any error message now. Clicking craft manager in applications does nothing.

  4. Have you attempted the steps mentioned directly above in my earlier comment above yours? - Yes

Hi Support team

I also have been struggling with craft lately. Have been using craft for a while now and craft tools suddenly gone inactive. I have tried running craft tools under plugins tab but no success. I managed to uninstall craft in all places on the my mac and also followed the instructions in this thread https://support.invisionapp.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360043207671/comments/360005299472

But now when i download craft manager, move the app file to applications and try to open it the system prompts me the following "CraftManager.app” is an application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?" I then select Open and then nothing happens. I do not get any further prompts for installing and also not seeing the icon appear in the top tool bar.

I am running macOS High Sierra

Version 10.13.6

and have downloaded CraftManager

Version 1.0.105

Please help :)

Pieter

Hi Raynor, thanks for answering.

Here are the screenshots:

Regarding the Craft plugin, I had it installed a few weeks back and I had to uninstall it. Now that I tried to download and install it again, I can't manage to do that. I unzip the file, double click on it, get the message "CraftManager.app” is an application downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?", click on "Open" and then nothing happens. I don't get any other prompts for installing, the icon doesn't appear in the top tool bar.

I hope you can help me solve this issue.

Let me know if you need any further system info.

Cheers,

Vicente

Hi, Raynor, thanks for the reply and for the effort in trying to help me.

But... I managed to install it. I still don't know what was the problem, but this is what I did: after I did what I told you (downloaded the plugin, unzipped it, clicked on it to install, moved it to application folder) nothing happened. I would click to open the plugin and again, nothing would happen.

So I downloaded the plugin again and, since I still had the previous one on my Download Folder, when I unzipped it it got renamed to "Craft Manager 2". And then, when I clicked on it to install, it finally worked.

Now I have deleted the previous one and everything seems to be working.

Still don't know what was happening, though.

And thanks for your help anyway!

Cheers,
