Place Images in order

When designing with data, I have the possibility to duplicate elements and fill them with data from a json file.

When I do this, the elements follow the order of the json data.

Most of the time I have images that are related to the data in the json. For example user profile + profile image. However when I place images the order seems to be random. Is there a way to place images in order too? ( By name or whatever )

Hi there,

Sorry to hear that you're running into issues when using the Craft Data plugin. In order to determine what's going on here, can you please provide the following information?:

     1. A screenshot of your "About this Mac" overview.
     2. A screenshot displaying the issue that you're facing.
     3. The version of Craft Manager that you're running.
     4. The version of the Craft Data plugin that you're running.

Feel free to provide any other information that you think is relevant to this issue.

Look forward to hearing back soon,

Shaina

Hi MG - not sure if useful/related but there are some potentially helpful troubleshooting tips regarding the use of JSON in this InVision community thread - https://support.invisionapp.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115019177943-Data-Duplicate-not-looping-through-JSON. This one in particular;

https://support.invisionapp.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115019177943/comments/360000561372

Which has a workaround using unnamed arrays might be applicable.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your quick replies.

Maybe I didn't explain my problem well enough.

The JSON data feature works as expected. I select a json file and the data gets pulled into sketch in the exact same order as the json file.

When I select a folder to place images. They get pulled into sketch in random order. Instead I want to pull them into sketch in the exact same order as they are in the folder like I do with json files.

Hi there,

Thanks for clarifying! It appears as if we are currently tracking interest for the ability to maintain the order of elements in Craft Data that is identical to the ordering in the imported source JSON.

Does this sound like that functionality you're looking for? If so, I'm happy to open a ticket on your behalf so that we can keep you in the loop as we have updates on this request.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Shaina
