How can I adjust, move, modify, or scale imported image in CRAFT?

Disclaimer: I'm VERY new to sketch so this could be a really easy answer!

I've successfully added an Unsplash image via the Craft "Data" tool.

I want to scale or move an image up/down that i've imported into the rectangle but I don't know how to do this.

After placing the image I can't figure out how to shift the image around.

Here's a screencast to show my struggles 😆

    Hi Jordan

    Thanks for reaching out.

When using this feature, if you were to view the Style panel on the far right there is an option called Fill. There you are able to edit the image within the rectangle by selecting the display option to be either: Fill, Fit, Stretch and Tile.

However, from personal experience, this doesn't give you the same image capability if you had to use a mask.

Let me know if using the Fill panel helps or not.

    Stay awesome!

Hello Michéle and thanks for the response. I did notice those fill options but each of them seem to present the image in a static state. I need to know how to scale, and move the image manually by a custom amount. Does that make sense? Maybe "mask" is the answer? is that possible? if so, how do I use that to accomplish what I explained in my OP?

Hi Jordan, I'd agree with Mikele's comment here that Sketch's 'Fill' options would be the ones to investigate.

The info found here - https://sketchapp.com/docs/styling/fills/ - on 'Image Fills' might be useful, with the 'Tile' option allowing for resizing and possibly repositioning. Hope this helps.

    Hi Jordan

    Only a pleasure.

I would then recommend using a mask and to help you on this journey, here is a link to a YouTube tutorial video created by our very own Pablo Stanley who is a Design Lead here at InVision.

Enjoy and please let me know if this was helped or not.

    Stay awesome!

P.s. Thanks Rob for the reference. That is useful!
