Is it possible to have an object trigger an animation to scroll the page?
For example, can I set a botton at the top of an artboard to vertically scroll downwards to a specific area on the artboard?
Like for a website where clicking a link at the top of the page jumps/scrolls the page to a set anchor point below?
There seems to be no way to do this, which is perplexing because it seems like something Studio should be able to do…
update…
I have noticed other posts here and on Twitter that suggest it is currently possible to set a scroll to point on a second linked art board.
This feature has been requested many times it seems since as far back as at least 2014… it seems like a very critical thing, especially for website design, but this clearly would be useful in all manner of applications.
Invision, this is a big deal! It's a major snag in my current project. Is this feature in the works? Will we see it any time soon?
I don't really want to jump to another app but I think I will have to.
Thanks
- James

Hi Ashwin and Guille,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out here in Community about the potential feature described in this thread. It looks like there are a few related features that we're currently tracking interest for:
We understand how frustrating it is to wait for a feature to be released. The Product and Engineering teams prioritize issues based on their scope and impact. For that reason, we are unable to provide an ETA for these features.
To shed some light on why Studio features like this one haven't yet been released, the Studio Engineering, Product, and Design teams have been hard at work building a brand new release of Studio which is expected to resolve issues like this one. We’re prioritizing and evolving the product to meet and exceed your long term needs. We are still fully dedicated to Studio and are focused on improving performance, usability, and collaboration within your teams.
That being said, part of my job is to take important threads from Community to meetings with relevant Product Managers to discuss the struggles our customers are having. I will be sure to raise your this feature request in my next meeting with the Studio Product team. If you haven't already done so, please also be sure to ADD YOUR VOTE using the button above to track your interest in this feature.
Ashwin - I have made your Support agent aware of your comment here in Community and they will be able to best assist you moving forward. As for the request for "a timed anchor link to another position", we will need to track this as a separate feature request.
Have a great day,
Hi James,
Can you please clarify which InVision product you are looking to do this in? We are currently tracking a feature request for this behavior in Studio. If this is what you're looking for, please let me know.
Thanks,
Shaina
I'm talking about Studio, macOS desktop app.
Thanks Shaina — and in general, I would like to add that I am really excited about Invision. It's a brilliant app with a lot of potential — however when a core needed feature like what I'm asking for isn't there is stops me in my tracks during the design process.
Lacking basic animation/interaction things like this inability to set a target area (anchor) on an artboard and have a trigger navigate/scroll to is problematic.
This actually seems pretty basic, I'm very surprised it's not there. And I would like to see the ability to design much more complicated animations too.
PLEASE become the be all / end all powerhouse for all design, wireframes, animations and prototypes for app and web design. :)
(and having animations that can easily translate to a developer is of course super important as well).
Hi James,
Thanks for clearing that up! I really appreciate you taking the time to add in your feedback about your need for this feature. We definitely understand that it can be frustrating to work without features like this.
I can assure you that this is on our Studio team's radar. As you can imagine, we have received an overwhelming amount of feature requests for Studio. The Studio Product Managers prioritize issues based on the scope and impact of the issue.
I'm happy to open a ticket on your behalf to track your interest and feedback about this feature. Please keep an eye out for a message in your inbox soon confirming that we have formally tracked your interest for the ability to create "Scroll to Anchor Point" interactions in Studio.
In the meantime, I suggest checking out the Advanced Animations that you're currently able to create in Studio. You can learn more about these in our Studio Getting Started Guide here.
Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.
Best,
Shaina
Hi!
I'm new to invision and was looking for this feature. Was it added?
Thanks for reaching out here in Community to follow up on this potential feature, Ieva. It looks like we're still tracking interest for the ability to create "Scroll to Anchor Point" interactions in Studio. That being said, I'm happy to open a ticket on your behalf to track you interest for this.
Please keep an eye out for an email confirming that we're formally tracked your interest in this potential feature. If there's anything else I can help out with, please don't hesitate to reach out again in Community!
Have a wonderful day,
Shaina
If anybody else would like to add their feedback about this potential feature, please ADD YOUR VOTE using the button above or email support@invisionapp.com detailing the feature you are looking for.
Hello,
I consider it to be clear that this feature would deliver value.
In webdevelopment, scrolling to an anchor is a very common and basic feature as you may well know.
UX needs accurate prototypes with full functionality to allow authentic user behaviour, but the workarounds are crazy, absolutely surreal.
Currently whole (detailed) page sets need be copied for each link an exponential amount of times for each anchor instance in a prototype.
Effectively this means that the tests made have to stay short or very low-fi, both being less desirable.
There are probably more of such cases that plague designers under the radar, but please rid us of this one.
Also, how does one indicate interest in features with little effort? I don't often weigh in on topics like this.
It would be great to indicate the weighed need for features and not have to dive in the community too often.
Cheers, and may the features be with you!
Hello,
Thanks so much for sharing this feedback with us! I definitely understand where you are coming from, and I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. I will open a ticket on your behalf to track your interest for this potential feature. Please keep an eye out for an email indicating that we’ve formally tracked your feedback.
Thanks,
Michael
Hi Michael, can you please register my interest on this too?
Thanks for chiming in here, Ioannis! I've opened a ticket on your behalf to track your interest for this potential feature.
Have a great day,

Is it possible to Navigate to an Anchorpoint on another page in Invision?
Hi Zach,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out both here in Community and for opening a ticket with our Support team. It looks like you were able to get in touch with one of our Support agents and they have linked you up to the appropriate feature request.
As mentioned by your Support agent, it's currently only possible to link to another section on the same page the hotspot is on. This means that it's not possible to add a hotspot to an overlay that links to an anchor point on its parent screen, or another screen in your project. We are tracking a feature request for this though!
If anybody else would like to add their feedback about this potential feature, please email support@invisionapp.com detailing the feature you are looking for.
Have a wonderful day,
Shaina
Are there any updates to this feature? I have an enterprise account and have been waiting for the feature since 2019. Any updated are greatly appreciated as most of my prototypes have long scrollable areas that need to anchor to the bottom. A timed anchor link to another position perhaps?
Any updates?
Hi Invision Team,
I am hitting the same road block, of not having the feasibility to scroll to a desired anchor point on the same page.
Trust me, this interaction would be an awesome one for designers. Please implement soon :)
Btw, +upvoted this request.
Thanks,
Abhishek
Also interested in this. Supporting request for features to:
- Ability to link to anchor points on other screen besides current
And, related:
- Ability to link to anchor points through timer.
I'm able to create a hotspot to link to an anchor point on the same page, but cannot link through timer?
Hi Sophie,
Thanks for taking the time to write into Community to share your feedback about this. Great news! These are is features that our Support and Product teams are already tracking interest for.
I will open a ticket on your behalf to track your interest for this potential feature. Please keep an eye out for an email indicating that we’ve formally tracked your feedback.
Have a great day,
Mike

Please add this asap. It is an absolutely fundamental feature to any web design and after spending hours learning Studio, my mind is blown by the absence of this basic and crutial feature!
Thank you for all the great work you do :)

Has this been added yet? I can't prototype and do user testing with Invision unless this is a feature
