Invision not showing Sketch symbol overrides in Inspect mode assets

When I upload to Invision from Sketch via Craft, Symbols with overrides applied (e.g an icon with colour changes) appear fine in the prototype, but when you inspect and go to download the asset, the icon in the asset section is the default symbol (i.e without my colour changes). Same result whether I use a slice or set a symbol to "export"

Anyone found a workaround?

UPDATE 7/2/19

Our apologies for the trouble with InVision not displaying the correct color overrides of Linked Library Symbols in Inspect. Our engineers identified the source of the issue released a fix! Our team has tested here once again and I can confirm overrides within Linked Library symbols are now displaying the correct colors in Inspect.

Please be sure to update your Craft to 1.0.84, give this another try and let us know if you're still having trouble. Otherwise, thanks for your patience while we worked to fix this issue.

Hi Cail,

This sounds like it may be related to an issue that our Engineering team is already aware of. To ensure that this is related, can you please also provide what browser and operating system are you running? This can be found at https://www.whatismybrowser.com/.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Hi,

we have the same problem with all Symbols and Symbols linked to a sketch library.

we defined a button (which is a simple rectangle) and assigned a layer style for the color.

Because of the layer style we're able to chance the color by override. in Inspect mode we do see the changed color,
but on the right side you still see the hex code of the original color of the symbol.

Mac OS 10.13.4

Safari 11.1

Sketch 53.1 (72631)

Craft plugin 1.0.77 132

Hi Benjamin,

I'm sorry to hear about the troubles you're having with Inspect not respecting the color overrides.

The behavior you are describing may be related to a known issue that our team is currently investigating. We've found that Inspect does not show the correct color for symbols with Sketch's layer styles override. That being said, we would like to take a closer look at this for you and I'll be opening a ticket on your behalf to confirm that this is the same issue.

In the meantime, the only workaround solution we were able to find is to detach from the symbol. We know this is far from ideal and our team is continuing to work on resolving this issue.

Best,

Shaina

Hi together.

We are facing the same issue still. Especially while using overrides with symbols from a library.

The left rectangle is a simple Symbol out of a separate library with its default color which is already defined in the library file.
The color is correctly shown as: #FF00F0.

The rectangle in the middle the symbol of the left rectangle but overridden with a color which is a shared style in the same file like the artboard is but still separate from the symbol library.
The color override is shown correctly as: #E07876

The error occurs on the rectangle on the right.
It is still the symbol of the left rectangle but was overridden with a shared color style of the library where also the original symbol comes from.
This rectangle shows the wrong color in Invision Inspect. It shows the original pink color value of the left rectangle and not the yellow color value.

Conclusion:
Inspect fails at showing a color override with shared styles which are located in a library and not in the working/artboard document itself.

Is there any solution or workaround for this issue.
I would be really happy about some help. Thanks.
