Invision not honouring slices with "Export group contents only" in Sketch Library - getting a white background where it should be transparent

As per title, i've set up an icon set with each symbol containing a group, with the shape and a slice set to "Export group contents only" inside. This works fine when exporting icons directly from Sketch, but when I use an icon symbol from my library in a new document, the transparency isn't being honoured when I push to Invision via Craft. Icons now have a white background.

Hi Cail and Joana,

As you've been told by our Support team, what you're encountering is a known limitation that our Product and Engineering teams have evaluated based on factors including severity, impact, scale, and frequency. At this time, we have decided to allocate our resources to address other issues with a greater impact on our customers, and don't intend to fix this issue in the near future.

However, we will continue to track this issue and monitor the prevalence and severity of this issue, and we will revisit that decision if the circumstances change. That being said, I have notified each of your Support agents of your follow up comments here in Community and I will continue to do so. Your Support agents will continue to keep you in the loop with any updates around this issue as we have them.

I'm having the same result. White background where it should be transparent on screen uploaded from last Thursday on. 
Screens that were updated before Thursday appeared with transparent background.
Noted that I have not touch the icons on my library.
I'll be waiting for your feedback

This appears as if it may related to an issue that our Support and Engineering teams are currently investigating. In order to determine if this is related can you each please provide the following information?:

     1. What operating system are you using? Please include the version (e.g. macOS 10.13.3 or Windows 10).
     2. What version of Sketch are you using?
     3. What version of the Craft plugins are you using?

Seems like the response was "We're aware of the issue, but we're not going to fix it any time soon"...seems to work fine in Zeplin, might have to switch to that instead.

Cail & Shaina,
If the boxes of Background color & Include in export were checked off the icons remain with the transparency background on Inspect.

At list it's working for me.

Thanks Joana, that fixed it for SVG exports but strangely not PNG exports.

Also, now if i've changed the icon colour using overrides, invision inspect ignores it and shows the original, default colour.  Which is equally annoying!

Shaina, I should clarify, I think it might be a seperate but related issue...ignoring the symbol overrides was happening regardless.

It's working for me in the meantime and with png exports.
