Tab slide transition in Invision Studio?

Hi,

is it possible to create a sliding tab transition similar to the one seen here in Invision Studio?

Push left/right is close to what I need, but it moves the entire screen, even though the menu bar should stay fixed. I have tried to pin these elements in place but it has no effect on the transition. Is it possible to achieve this effect somehow (ideally by defining the area in which the transition should take effect)?

Thanks in advance,

Andi

    Hi Andi!

I love these type of transitions! Can you attach a gif or a video of what you're experiencing in Studio?

    Looking forward to helping out,

    Lala

    Hi Lala,

    thanks for your reply.

The effect I'm looking to achieve is this:

The best I can manage to do in InVision Studio is this:

I would like to fix the tabs on the top and the navigation menu on the bottom, so that only the content would slide during the transition.

    Hi Andi,

I've recreated the tab motion interaction for you, hope this helps!

The key is to make sure the interaction has the motion option on.

Please let me know if this works!

    Hi Lala,

    thanks for your response.

This solution works really well if there are only two rectangles on the screen, but in the case of a busier screen (like the one in my example), when the relationship between the objects cannot be clearly mapped, the motion-based solution does not work. Since the algorithm cannot establish a link between items (and I also couldn't set it up manually to achieve the desired effect), they simply disappear and reappear with a dissolve effect.

What I would need to achieve is basically to apply the sliding preset transition only to a defined (content) area of the screen, and have the top and bottom menus stay fixed.

    Thanks,

    Andrea

    Hi Andi,

After testing this on our end, we're unable to reproduce the behavior that you're encountering. That being said, I would like for our Support team to take a closer look at this for you and will be opening a ticket on your behalf. Please look for a message from our Support team soon requesting additional information.

    Thanks,

    Shaina
