Hi Terry,

While this feature isn't available at this time, it appears as if our team is currently tracking interest for the ability to implement paragraph and character styles in Studio. I will open a ticket on your behalf tracking your vote for this feature. Please look for a message confirming your vote soon.

Have a great day,

Shaina

This is basic for creating UI, I'm quite surprised it hasn't been implemented yet. I am considering switching from sketch to invision but this would make the design process more difficult. Is there a workaround for this? Any suggestions?

Hey Terry, Melissa!

There are a couple of things I use as a work around for this:

1. Set up each text style as a component, which is similar to setting up text styles as Symbols in Sketch. This does have the downside of it might not be as flexible to change the widths of while placing it in designs, it may require some fiddling with. But if you want to change a text style this will change it though out the document.

OR

2. Set up a small artboard with your text styles laid out and simply copy and paste from there. While it keeps a single source of truth of text styles it will be more time consuming to change styles through out your file should you need to.

Both not the most ideal and have their pros and cons. But can solve the issue until this feature may be implemented.

I hope this helps.

Thanks

Owen

I am sorry but your answer is not satisfactory and seems you are not ready to accept this tool is not perfect for UI Design.

Hi Faseeh

I posted my workarounds that I'm using at the moment while the InVision team monitors this feature request. I'm aware that this is not an ideal solution but the InVision team continues to track interest for this.

Additionally, I've raised this with the Senior Community Moderator, Shaina, who commented above and she will be discussing your comment with the Studio team. I'm sorry if you find my workaround unsatisfactory, but I'm only trying to help!

Have a great day, Faseeh.
