Can't sync with Photoshop

I am able to create a new InVision prototype within Photoshop, but when I start syncing, I get the following message:

There’s been an error starting Photoshop generator. Please make sure you have it enabled under Preferences > Plug-ins > Enable Generator, and restart Photoshop.

It is enabled. I am using the latest Photoshop.

I already tried reinstalling Craft, but it doesn't help. I noticed when I go to Preferences > General > Uninstall Products, it mentions that Craft for Photoshop is not installed, but in Tools, everything is up-to-date.

Can anyone help me out?

    Hi Julie,

So sorry to hear about the issues you're encountering with Craft for Photoshop. Thank you very much for providing the details and screenshots you have above. In order to move forward with troubleshooting this issue, can you please provide the following information?:

         1. A screenshot of your "About this Mac" overview
         2. Your Photoshop version number
         3. When you say that you already "tried reinstalling Craft", what steps did you perform? Did you follow the steps for a comprehensive uninstall/reinstall?
         4. A screenshot of your Application folder for your machine as seen here: https://screencast.com/t/XwsmmIxA

Look forward to hearing from you,

    Shaina

    Hi Shaina,

    1.

    2. Photoshop CC 20.0.1

    3. I uninstalled Craft Manager using AppCleaner and downloaded Craft Manager from the website to install it again.

    Hi Julie,

Thank you very much for providing those details. I want to make sure to check one more thing before having our Support team look into this. We have seen cases regarding this where the plugin "Generator" was installing itself under the normal Photoshop file directory instead of under the Plug-ins.

To resolve this issue, please try to move the "Generator" folder into the "Plug-ins" directory, as displayed in the screenshot below:

If the error  keeps persisting after this, could you please give the steps below a try?

    1. Firstly, please uninstall the Craft plugins once more. (This is done within CraftManager > gear icon > Preferences > click Uninstall next to Craft for Photoshop).
    2. Next, please download the plug-in files from the following link: https://s3.amazonaws.com/www-assets.invisionapp.com/labs/craft/manager/craft-photoshop.zip
    3. Unzip those files and then locate & copy the folder called com.invisionlabs.sync-generator (be sure to grab "sync-generator" and not "sync")
    4. In Finder, go to Go > Go to Folder
    5. Type /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CC 2020/Plug-ins/Generator/
    6. In this Generator folder, paste the folder com.invisionlabs.sync-generator that you copied earlier
    7. Then, go back into CraftManager and install the Photoshop plugins once more
    8. Fully restart Photoshop

Let me know if this helps out!

    Cheers,

    Shaina

    Hey Shaina,

I'm sorry for my late reply, but moving the “Generator” folder fixed the problem!

Craft Manager is still showing “not installed”.

No worries at all. Glad to hear that moving the folder helped to solve the issues you were encountering!

Are you still having issues with Craft for Photoshop showing as "Not installed"? If so, what issues are you seeing?

Look forward to hearing from you,

I restarted my computer and now it shows 'uninstall' instead of 'not installed', so everything seems to be fine now.

    Thanks for the help!
