Help with 'Kinetic Wall' Animated Prototype

This project is 6 screens with constant fluttering flower petals. As the user approaches, the idle animation opens up to reveal a interactive photo wall. This is already built, we'll be reusing the framework and selling as a package. My boss really wants a prototype showing at least a feeling of the animations.

I've got black backgrounds on 2 screens. I have large transparent gifs of the randomized flower petals. I'm transitioning between the two screens, and the second screen (Idle 1) returns to the first screen (Idle) instantly, showing a seamless 'falling' motion for the gifs.

My problem is the click-through. As I worried, having the gifs linked to the interior photo wall (Artboard 1) doesn't work because the system isn't checking for interactions during the transitions.

Without support for animated gifs, can anyone suggest a solution? Thank you.

    Hi Rob,

Thanks for writing into Community about the behavior you're trying to achieve, as well as opening a feature request ticket for the ability to use animated GIFs in Studio. So that I can better understand what you're looking for, can you please clarify what InVision product you're attempting this in? Also, can you please provide an example of the behavior you're trying to achieve?

I also suggest checking out our Studio Getting Started Guide to familiarize yourself with all of the awesome feature Studio currently offers!

Look forward to hearing from you,

    Shaina

    Hi Shaina,

I'm using InVision Studio. I've gone through the guide and a number of other tutorials. What I'm doing isn't standard, and I wouldn't normally attempt it except my boss is insisting.

The product is made already, and it was built in Unity. It's something like this as a background. It's a kinetic wall that parts the flower animation when a user approaches to expose the photo wall in front of the user.
I know UI prototyping isn't going to produce something like this, so it's not really my question.

My boss wants an animated prototype to use in sales pitches to other customers we'll want to sell this package to. In the prototype, I need to show the flower petals moving downward to show a general falling motion. I can get that working easily. My problem is that with continuous transitioning between the first and second screen doesn't allow for a click-through action to the main UI of the wall. I suspect there's nothing listening for an event during the continuous transition.

I'm investigating alternatives to Sketch/Zeplin. My boss's expectations of prototyping software are unrealistic when it comes to intense animation, but that's my problem. Here's a link to the Sketch Cloud prototype so you can see the sequence. I need to find a solution for having the flower petals having a downward motion and be able to click through to the exposed photo wall screen. I'd do this with an animated gif(s) if I were able.

    Thank you
