Craft Menu Bar Missing

I'm on Sketch 51.3, MacOS Mojave v.10.14, Craft Manage v1.0.70 (117) and the craft menu bar is missing. Is there an update to craft manager I'm missing here?

Note: I've already deleted the com folder and deleted the app, and re-installed. The issue still is the same and is not displaying craft menu bar or toolbar.

Same here. After upgrading to MacOS Mojave, Craft is not showing up in Sketch. Doing all of the above and everything else I can think of doesn't help.

InVision support just helped me through the hoops and everything is up and running again. Kudos to them!!

We are having the same issue even after doing a full comprehensive uninstall/reinstall there is no Craft toolbar which is very frustrating after moving everything into  DSM

Morten - I'm happy to hear that our Support team was able to assist you with this issue to get things up and running.

Brandon & Ian - Our Support and Product teams are aware that the latest release of the Mac OS (Mojave) introduced some compatibility issues. We are pleased to confirm, however, that those have now been resolved. To access the Craft plugins again, please navigate to Craft Manager (the C icon in your top toolbar). Whilst on the Tools tab, can you please press command + Shift + R and then click Update? Once updated, please restart Sketch. You should see that the "Sync + Prototype" plugin changes to v.2.3.82 and the toolbar should then reappear in Sketch.

Please let me know if this solves things for you.

Everything is now working again, but it did take a few attempts.

I tried several times with no luck, but after I switched my Craft Environment from 'Design System Manager' back to 'Production' and repeated the steps my toolbar appeared.

Hi Denny,

It appears as if Ian ran into some similar problems when attempting to update. Can I please get you to change the Environment at the bottom of the Craft Manager from the Design System Manager to Production? Once that's done, can you please try updating again? (press command + Shift + R and then click Update? Once updated, please restart Sketch. You should see that the "Sync + Prototype" plugin changes to v.2.3.82 and the toolbar should then re-apear in Sketch.)

Hope this does the the trick! Please let me know if you run into any issues.

Hi Shaina,

I have the same issue and I tried the solution you posted above still did not work - press Shift+Command+R, nothing happened and I did not see Update button anywhere.

Also, when I am in Production environment, Craft menu shows and everything is fine. the Sync + Prototype version is v2.3.82.

However when I switch back to the DSM environment, my Sync + Prototype version is still v2.3.75, and Craft menu is missing on the top, and toggle panel in Sketch is not showing up as well.

 

Is there any solution for that?

I had the same question Rena. Response from support was .. as it turns out "DSM environment" is outdated. You should use "production" from now on only. Interesting observation a collegue of mine installed Craft recently and he does not have the option to switch between environments anymore. We use production for everything now with DSM.

I'm still missing the Craft toolbar. The Craft version is 2.3.90. I'm not seeing the environment information or the ability to change environments anywhere. I've tried the command+shift+r and nothing happens.

Hi Tyler,

Thanks for confirming! I'd like to have you perform a comprehensive, deep uninstall/reinstall of Craft using the steps below. Please skip any steps that are not applicable (e.g. if a file/folder mentioned is not present) and let me know if you get stuck anywhere along the way:

  1. Close Craft Manager (by clicking into the "C" > clicking the gear icon > choosing Close).
  2. Go into Sketch, and navigate to Plugins ➝ Manage Plugins.
  3. In the pop-up modal, select Craft by InVision Labs, and click the gear icon in the lower left and select the uninstall option. This will move some items to the trash.
  4. Quit Sketch entirely.
  5. Open the Activity Monitor (via Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor), and then force quit the Craft Manager and Panels (if applicable) processes.
  6. Open Spotlight and search for ~/Library/Application Support/
  7. Delete the com.invisionlabs.CraftManager folder, the com.invisionlabs.CraftManager.json file, the com.invisionlabs.CraftInstaller folder, and the CraftManager folder.
  8. Open the com.bohemiancoding.sketch3 folder.
  9. Delete the Panels folder (if applicable). Please note that these steps will remove any custom Type or Photos items you’ve created in Craft Data. If you'd like to preserve those, please go to ~/Library/Application Support/com.bohemiancoding.sketch3/Panels/.settings and back up the file "com.invisionlabs.data."
  10. Open the Plugins folder.
  11. Delete the Panels.sketchplugin file (if applicable).
  12. Navigate to the Downloads folder.
  13. Search for craftinstaller and delete any files that deal with the Craft Installation process.
  14. In Applications or the folder in which you installed Craft Manager, delete CraftManager.app.
  15. Empty the Trash.
  16. Go to https://craft-assets.invisionapp.com/CraftManager/production/CraftManager.zip and unzip the CraftManager
  17. Drag and drop the Craft Manager app into your computer's "Applications" folder or the folder of your choice before launching it.
  18. Open Craft Manager and then install Craft for Sketch.
  19. If you had backed up the "com.invisionlabs.data" file before performing these steps: launch Sketch now in order to rebuild the ` ~/Library/Application Support/com.bohemiancoding.sketch3/Panels/.settings ` directory. Then, place the backed up "com.invisionlabs.data" file in the ".settings" folder and restart Sketch to restore your custom Type & Photos items.


Please let me know if this works for you! If not, we will proceed with obtaining additional information for further troubleshooting.

Hi folks,

Having the same issue, tried the steps above and no luck. It just states that its not installed for me.

I am using Sketch 52.2, I tried V52 and it did work but since I restarted Sketch it stopped, not sure if Craft updated in the mean time.

This is severely hampering my workflow.

Sorry to hear that you're also running into this issue. Just to confirm, did you perform the comprehensive uninstall/reinstall and change the Environment at the bottom of the Craft Manager from the Design System Manager to Production and press command + Shift + R  to Update?

Can you please provide the following information?:

     1. What version of Craft Manager are you using?
     2. What version of the Craft Sync + Prototype plugin are you using?

Hi Shaina,

I followed all the steps to uninstall and reinstall where applicable, some of the Craft dependencies listed weren't included in my installation.

I'm running Sketch 52 on MacOS 10.13.6 (17G65)

 

I can't change the environment as you described, this option is not available to me, see below.

Using Craft Manager v1.0.72 (122) and Craft Sync + Prototype v2.3.90

 

The below image shows that the sketch tools are not installed

But the the image below implies the Craft features are installed.

Hi,

I am on Mac Mojave 10.4, Sketch 52.2.  I followed the 19 steps you gave to Tyler on October 22.

 

1. By default I was signed out of Craft. So I sign in.

2. Even though I have reset my PW, I still get a sign in error.

 

My Tools panel looks empty: Item cycles through Item 1, Item 2 Item 3. 

4. Preferences. I click check for updates ...

 

5. And get error. Only thing I can do is cancel update.

I'd appreciate your help resolving this as soon as possible. Thanks!
