Prototype scrolling Issue with Nexus 10 screen size.

I have a prototype with screens that all have a small scroll available when there shouldn't be.
The screens are 800*1280 in Sketch, which should be the exact size of the screen inside InVision and therefore no scrolling should be occurring.

    Hi Joseph,

    It appears as if you may have the dimensions set in Sketch for a Nexus 10 tablet at half of the resolution we recognize in InVision. For tablets, we have two skins: the Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10. The resolution for the devices are as follows;
    - Nexus 7: 1200 x 1920
    - Nexus 10: 1600 x 2560

Please note that these resolutions are for portrait mode. Additionally, with InVision, we scale your images to the device's width for mobile projects. Also, you should be aware that the status bar at the top is included in the screen, so you'll need to factor that in when creating your prototype.

If you're using Craft Sync, you may export at 2x pixel density and this may solve the issues you are encountering. Please let me know if this clears things up.

    Thanks,

    Shaina

    Hey Shaina,

I also seem to have that issue, although I set my resolution for the Nexus 10 to 2560 x 1600 (I need to set up a Landscape Prototype).

Is there any other information? I also tried to 2560x1440 (16:9), but then I had some pixels free space at the bottom. 🤨

It worked fine with a height of 1510px, but this is a really strange tradeoff! 😳(So Sketch-File is now at 1280x755 for Nexus 10.)

    Cheers, Carmen

    Hi Carmen,

Thanks for reaching out here in Community about this similar issue! So that I can get a better understanding of what might be going on here, can you please provide the following information?:

         1. A screenshot or screencast displaying the issue.
         2. What version of Sketch ar eyou using?
         3. What version of Craft Manager are you using?
         4. What version of Craft Sync + Prototype are you using?

I would also like to ensure that you are taking the status bar into account?  Do you have the status bar manually created in your design?

For example, you'll want to be mindful that if you are not including the status bar in your design manually or if you wish it to be a full screen image, that you have the option for "My design starts below the status bar" unchecked. This will ensure your design is placed up towards the top of the device and not scaled to dimensions that would account for a status bar.

Look forward to hearing from you,

    Shaina

    Hey Shaina,

    Version of Sketch: 52.2
    Version of Craft Manager: 1.0.72
    Craft Version: 1.0.51
    Sync + Prototype: 2.3.82

At first I had the Status bar and Navbar included, but I also kept that in mind in the Invision Prototype. Then I deleted the Status bar from my designs, adopted the height and checked the "Design starts below Status Bar" line in the prototype. Still my page didn't stop at the appropriate height, as I already expected, so I totally excluded the navbar as well.

Do you have a reference at which size we should create the Artboard, when Status and Navbar are not part of the Design? For me, at a normal Nexus [email protected] size of 2560 in width (landscape mode), the perfect height without scrolling seems to be 1454px (instead of 1600px original Nexus10).
(Actually I'm currently working on a screen size of 2048 x 1164, because I needed to adapt the screens to my client's device...)

And as I'm already on it: Is there a way of fixing the left bar in the design so it doesn't scroll, when my content in the right area becomes longer? Because I can fix Header and Footer, but not the side navigation which is supposed to be visible on every page in this case. 🤷🏼‍♀️
