Sketch/Craft prototype: How to fix elements when scrolling?

Please consider prioritizing another way to handle fixed elements that would be directly from Sketch. 

When using Craft w/its prototyping and sync functions (which are excellent, no doubt) all of the prototyping functions are maintained within the Sketch file and workflow. Asking one to send out pieces as separate elements is essentially splitting off the prototyping efforts into two channels, double the work/time/effort to maintain...and kills productivity especially during crunch times. 

If the fixed elements are working within the Sketch built-in prototyping, them it would be reasonable to extend that expectation for the sync to handle the same elements smoothly via InVision.

Seems rather a long time to await for such a common requirement to be released.

Any progress on supporting fixed element for a footer component via Sketch/Craft for distribution via Invision cloud?
I have an enterprise prototype app with around 150 screens in each user role/application.
Am I missing an obvious trick how to address this directly in Sketch?

If this has 'still' being considered? Sadly, this will be a deal breaker for me to use Invision in future prototyping projects.
Any confirmation that this is actually being developed for release in the future?

Hi Shaina, I just submitted a support ticket with this same concern. I am actually amazed to see this feature is not already built, because without it your otherwise incredibly impressive tool is pretty much useless. I can't convey the intent of the design to my developers when the menu (that is supposed to be static) is buried at the bottom of the screen, and the workaround you suggested is way to labor-intensive to be practical. Even if I could accomplish the aesthetic using a header/footer, I can't replicate the functionality.

You have taken a fantastic user experience 90% of the way, but we need the other 10% of this to work for scrolling UI's developed in Sketch to make any sense in Invision. Please escalate this issue if you can.

Thanks for the explanation and link to the craft video. This feature would be awesome to have directly in Sketch though so that you don't have to leave Sketch to complete your design and flow. I add my vote to include this feature to Sketch.

Hello,

I am now starting to use Invision for uploading and sharing prototypes (was using sketch cloud before).

I really wish that Invision prototypes would include the fixed position when scrolling, it makes the prototypes seem less professional, when the sidebar just disappears when scrolling down. 

I would like to add my vote on this feature, here. Crossing my fingers for this to come soon.

Hi to everyone... I have found multiple videos where ppl showed how they fixed footers and headers in their prototyped apps with CRAFT, but I simply cannot find these features in this plugin anymore... are these functions migrated to the paid version of the plugin or you for some reason have completely removed these features?

Thus, I assume that this feature has been deleted from the plugin, am I right? or I am using some outdated version of craft which is simply does not have it?

Please fix this - I like that I can link to specific scrolling positions with Craft, but without sticky headers/footers it's pretty much useless.

I believe what you were seeing in that screenshot is from an old beta version of Craft which is not currently a feature in the current Craft plugin. If you're interested in this feature, please be sure to use the Add you vote option at the top of the thread!

Hei, why was fixed header deleted in prototype from Sketch? When can Craft bring it back in Sketch? What is the reason it still lacks in Craft?

Hi, my name is Michael. I have explored for a whole night that how to make the fixed headers and footers in sketch in using craft. The video showed the process in other application. In the newest version of craft, i can not find the function of locking the headers and footers in the screen.

Hi Michael,

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble creating fixed headers and footers in your prototype. In order to do this, you will need to add about 20 px of transparent area in your Sketch file at either the top (header) or bottom (footer). Then, you will upload this file as a PNG to the InVision Cloud where you will add the fixed header/footer function to the prototype.

Firstly, can you confirm if the Sync + Prototype tool is toggled on in the Craft tools menu?

We'd like to gather some additional details to assist in troubleshooting this further. Would it be possible to provide the following?

• What operating system are you using? Please include the version (e.g. macOS 10.13.3 or Windows 10).
• What version of Sketch/Photoshop are you using?
• What version of the Craft plugins are you using?
