Responsive text?

I'm really new to UI design and I'm doing everything self taught. I ran into an issue where I designed a whole web layout at the wrong resolution/ art board size, and I'm trying to just scale everything down to fit the new artboard size, but its not working. I've been trying to play around with Studio's percentage trick in components, but I'm not sure if this will even work (and it's very time consuming to change everything to a component and then change everything to percent).

Does anyone know how to help me preserve the relative size of everything when moving everything to the art board on the left?

Thanks so much in advance!!

Hi Mike,

Thank you very much for reaching out about this use case here in Community. We've recently released a new feature with Containers in Studio that you might want to check out as a potential solution for this. Converting a group of layers in Studio to a container lets you align the layers relative to the container rather than the artboard. Containers also give you the option to avoid scaling the child layers when resizing a container itself. You also have the option to pin the layers to their container, so the layers individually adjust with the container as you modify it. Think of it this way: A Studio container behaves like a mini artboard within an actual artboard. You should be able to achieve the behavior you desire by:

     1. Select all layers
     2. Add layer group to Container
     3. Scale down
     4. Move to the new artboard
     5. Remove from Container

To learn more about the ins-and-outs of how to use Containers, please review the "Inspector" section of the Studio Getting Started Guide here.

As another note, if you lock the selected layers as a group, the group will scale relatively.

Please let me know if any of these solutions work for you.
