Board Ownership??

OK, so I have a client Brand Guidelines Board, and I wanted to give them ownership, or transfer, is there anyway to do that? I dont mean share the board, I want them to be able edit it etc.

Hi Dean,

It appears as if our Support team has been in touch with you about this issue. As mentioned in your ticket, it's currently not possible to transfer ownership of a board to another account. However, this is a potential feature that our Product team is tracking. Our Support team has added your vote for this feature and will be keeping you in the loop.

A workaround suggested by your Support agent would be to add them as a collaborator on the board. This will allow them to be able to edit and update the board moving forward. Here's the steps you can take to add them as a collaborator on the board:

To add collaborators, go to your Board and click the plus sign under the header:

Once you click the share button, a modal will pop up that allows you to add collaborators to the Board. This will allow them to be able to edit and update the board.

I see that Invision tends to pitch using boards to Designers for Brand Guidelines, which is great, but typically the client wants ownership of those boards so its crazy to me that this functionality doesn't exist yet. Please ask your team to implement soon if possible. Thanks for your quick response.

I apologize for the inconvenience that this is causing for you. I understand how frustrating it is to wait for a functionality to be added to our product. Our Engineering team is aware of the inconvenience that the lack of this functionality is causing for some users, but we prioritize issues based on the scope and impact of the issue. For that reason, we don’t have an immediate fix available. However, this is an issue that I will be raising in the soonest Product meetings.
