Issue with Symbols and Craft in Sketch

I have created a symbol in Sketch with the following parameters:

Text (natively pinned left/top) and vector icon (natively pinned left/top with fixed width/height). This gives me the ability to change the length of the text and for the icon to dynamically move left/right with the text length.

When I use Craft Sync to upload my comp to InVision all of the icons push out to the right instead of staying where they were placed

Hi Antonea,

Sorry to hear that you're running into this issue! As a first step in troubleshooting, can you please provide the following information?:

     1. What version of Sketch are you using?
     2. What version of Craft Manager are you using?
     3. What version of the Craft Sync plugin are you using?
     4. Can you please provide a screenshot of your "About this Mac" overview?

Look forward to hearing from you,

Shaina

Thanks!

Sketch 51.1

Craft Manager 1.0.69

Craft Plugin 1.0.49

Just another comment is that this has happened to me multiple times on different computers as well.

Hi Antonea,

Thanks for providing that information. It appears as if your Craft Sync plugin is not up to date. Can you please try updating your Craft Sync plugin and retesting?

If the issues persists, in order to dig a little deeper would you mind providing me with a complete list of the Sketch Plugins you have installed? The easiest way to do this is to go to Plugins > Manage Plugins, and capture a screenshot. This could possibly be a few screenshots depending on how many you have installed.

Thanks,

Shaina

Hmmm how do I update the plugin without being promoted that there is an update available?

Hi Antonea,

In Craft Manager versions 1.0.34 and higher, the option to automatically update all Craft Plugins in the background is available. To turn this option on or off:

     1. Click the Craft icon in the MacOS menubar.
     2. Click the cogwheel at the top right and choose Preferences.
     3. Under Settings, check or uncheck the option Automatically update plugins.

Please let me know if that solves what you are asking about.

I would also like to have you try something since you are running the Anima plugin. Can you disable the Anima plugin, then completely quit out of Sketch using the 'Activity Monitor'. After that, re-open Sketch and try syncing again to see if the issue persists.

Thanks,

Shaina

Bingo! Yes, I'm def up-to-date and all my my updates are auto. But it is... indeed Anima. Even though I am not using Anima is this document it's still stuffing up my export!

Glad to hear that disabling Anima solved your issue! Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with, Antonea.
